1. Is it a different neck (I thought it was until I saw the Ryder bit) or did you do somethign to it to make it look like that, if so what?
2. I am ignorant of theory but in no way try to defend that, I know I need to learn more of the theory side if I ever want to play more than covers and so that's what I'm doing at the moment.
3. "My friend's name begins with R so it's a pretty sweet bonus!" Same here, I might tell people I had it specially made
4. Nice, just got some on ebay for £15 brand new. I'm going to try them out either in my Squire P-bass or maybe the Sue Ryder.
5. Thought so, gonna have to break the bad news to a friend then.
6. Do any Fender's not have the fender logo on the headstock?
7. I might dent one of my cheaper basses to try some of this out as I don't want to experiment on my Stingray.
8.
Nice return, Sir and welcome. Thing is, we've just come off an extended and thread about the merits of tab vs reading. There may be some residual vibes hanging around. The only thing I'd say is avoid the bassmasta tab site. A number of us have found viruses on there.
Really? I have used it quite often. I've never had a problem with viruses, what kind? And Doddy what makes tabs so evil?
9. Can knocks and chips in the wood of a headstock be repaird or patcheed up on a unpainted headstock without it looking awful and if so how?
10. I mean a brick type thing. (I beleive that is the tecnical term.)
11. How much are they worth second-hand? I couldn't find any info in my search.
12. As you are so keen for an offer...50 quid and my Sue Ryder.
13. Not exactly what I think of as reggae.
14. I've never been to a bass show but I completely agree that alot of people seem to have a need to slap all the time. I used to be impressed by it when I first started playing at about 14 and couldn't do it myself but as soon as I learnt how to do it the novelty wore off.
15.
Damn, it's lined fretless...
Why do people have a problem with that? If it's fretless it is fretless, anyone who even knows what a fretless bass is would be able to tell by the playing so what does it matter?
16. I would really like to try out one of those Retrovibes.
17. The only bass I wouldn't gig is vintage/rare ones. Anything else I'd be happy to use, but of course would keep an eye on it all the time. If oyu have insurance then that is just a bonus.
18. Well I'm pretty sure he passed away a while ago so this is a bit late. And if I remember right Guru is the rapper the persn responsible for the innovative beats was DJ Premier. But yeah Gang Starr were a lot better than alot of the crap that passes for hip-hop. And Eminem didn't used to be to bad, some very clever word play sometimes but his last 2/3 albums where utter tosh and obviously aimed at topping the charts.
19. What is the best cheap power supply on the markey at the moment?
20. How easy are these to get hold of?
21.
Done. MP duly pestered.
Ditto.
