  1. Hey guys, Since lockdown I've been doing different jobs as a way of making money and have been doing a couple of bespoke courier service jobs for musicians who are willing to help out a musician who lost everything since we went into lockdown. So I'm doing more of it. Prices are on an individual bases, they're a little bit more than normal but you get same day delivery (within England and South Scotland) and a bespoke service where I video call on pickup to ensure it's exactly what's ordered and that the client is happy with it before I take it for delivery. I'm not a big company, it's me and my van! So if you would like your instrument picked up and brought straight to you, please contact me! I currently have a job next week (just waiting on the date) Maidenhead-Newport (wales) and next Thursday Birmingham to Stirling (scotland). I basically run it as a bespoke service. You'll be supporting a musician and his family! I have shipping boxes, hard cases and flight cases to put the instruments in, commercial insurance and a LOT of coffee! BigJim
  2. Is that you Pete? Pete’s work who build these basses is amazing. And he is also the reason I play bass and has become a dear friend! He’s a great guy and his work is amazing! he also used to play with many amazing people including Peter Green for many years!

I’ve double checked the wiring and it’s an active passive switch

    That’s an active passive switch
  5. It’s a slightly deeper pocket and was done under the supervision of the head of Crimson Guitars (who’s a very good friend and was round when I was doing it)

    What year is this Beauty?
  8. The fanned tuners are due to the curve on the headstock and I don’t have the skills or tools for inlays for the headstock logo. glad you like it though
  9. The previous owner did it. He’s unfortunately passed away now and I bought this off his brother
  10. So the final part of my Corona Virus-no work for months and have equipment I need to sell is: The one that pains me the most! My own made fretless bass! I also have pictures of the build process too if the new owner is interested! The parts cost me over £700 for everything including the wood! Before we get offf to pictures the specs are as follows: Flame Olive Ash hollowed out body, 4a Quilt with a bit of spalt Maple top, Hard Rock Maple neck, Bubinga board, Bone nut, Generic lightweight tuners, Hipshot Kickass bridge, Bartolini Jeff Berlin soapbar pickups, Volume, Volume, Tone controls. The burst isn't as light as the pictures show and is more gradual, it has to be seen! The neck is a slight V shape on the supper side so your thumb follows this and makes it ultra smoothe and quick. I put some Rotosound Tru-bass nylon strings on it as it gives that hollow bounce and with the fretless, sounds like a crossover instrument! I'll let the pictures do the talking but they really don't show how amazing this bass is! I may be willing to trade... depending on what it is! BigJim

Thanks dude, I've ammended the post about the tuners!! It's a switch between active and passive The control layout is Volume, Treble, Bass yes!
  12. Part of my Corona Virus-no work for months and have equipment I need to sell is: My refinished (by the previous owner) 1972 Musicmaster bass. So when I got this, it was in a sorry state with the previous person was a punk and had refinished it, he hasn't done a bad job but is a teal/turquoise sparkle! The frets were virtually flat, he's varnished the neck which was coming off under the nail and he had routed out and put in a p bass pickup. So I refretted it, had the neck refinished at Crimson Guitars with a flash coat, routed out all the nasty chizel marks so it was all smooth and put a Seymour Duncan SPBC-3 in it (1/4 pounder) The previous person had put 2 2-position switches in place so when I made the new pickguard and included the switches incase someone wanted to put another p pickup in it. This bass plays, feels and sounds AMAZING!!! Coming and trying it is 100% advised before you buy it, you won't walk away empty handed! Also comes with Schaller style strap locks. Pictures don't do this bass justice! Original bits: Body, Neck, Tuners, Bridge, Nut. BigJim

Hey guys, Part of my Corona Virus-no work for months and have equipment I need to sell is: My 1989 Korean Samick factory Squier jazz with Bart preamp and pickups! The same tech (who's name escapes me now but I remember his first name is Duncan and workes out of his workshop in Earls Barton, Northants) fitted a battery compartment on the back which, as with his work, is a professional job as you'll see in the pictures. So this bass came to me by a local tech who was selling it on behalf of a friend 6 years ago. I then sold it 4 years ago to a friend then bought it back a couple of months ago! The pictures tell all really, it's a great bass and set up and sounds awesome! The preamp is a Bartolini TBT 2 band preamp. I'm not sure of the pickup models but they are bartolini as shown in the pictures. "Licensed by Schaller" tuners which are smooth and work fantastically. Single ply black pickguard Graphtech nut. Rosewood board. Straight and lovely maple neck .
  14. Well I am NN8 postcode dude!
  15. Ffs you’re down the road too!!! I can’t buy any more instruments
  16. I actually dig this bass! The off white with the white pearl and white pickup! Looks sexy! Good luck with the sale!
