1. If those are the odds, I may try a sneaky £4 punt...
2. Your bass. Do what you want.
3.
Anyone tried fitting LEDs on a five string. Surely the fact you have an odd number of strings would mean the A string covers the LED making them a bit futile. Working on a tribute band where the bassist uses them but plays a four string, but I am now trained to 5???? Hmmmmm decision decisions.
I have bright blue LEDs on one of my 5 strings - don't worry, you see them alright, far from futile... in fact, you wouldn't even know the string was above them.
4. Have to say, this is one mean machine. Plays like a beaut and sounds absolutely fantastic. Defo some mojo in this beast.
5. Pies were a win! Back to the Gedo bass talk.
6. Don't get thinking that you need to give Pie Night a miss!
7. I'm on it!
8. Stop it! I'm on Gedo website...
9. Not yet dude. I'm still on my PA overhaul, it's transformed my gigging experience beyond belief. I got a phonecall from a couple of band members today... looks like they are making steps towards upgrading their inears.... Plus I don't think I've got any room to get an upright in the car. Roof rack?
10. I been looking at the Yamaha EUBs... Must stay away. I haven't got a gig to use it on. ...yet.
11. Oh yeah. We need something to talk about. Pie Night is on! (about time too!)
12. 3 and 1 and lets take on MM.
13. Headed for starters.
14. Hell of a bedroom rig.
15. Sig update...
16. This iPod remote malarky really is the business. Can't wait to get my desk wired up for it!
17.
It came a close second to a £5k GB Rumour but according to a 'second Opinion' was the best bass of choice/use.
Ah yes, I remember that particularly sh*te bit of journalism. Since when was there a second opinion ever in BGM? Anyway, this Nordstrand is a tasty piece of kit...
18. Aren't they the hideously ungig friendly covered cabs that would stain dead easy and rip if you breathed on them? Looked ace brand new but they are defo for the flightcase users amongst us.
19. A&H GLD80, A&H Zed 16, DB tops, RCF bins. Big smiles.
20. Nice choice. Aggie edges it for me too.
21. Hiscox are great - I've been a couple of times to their place to have broken feet replaced etc and everytime they pimp the case to the latest spec. Unbelievably good customer service.

Status
The status pickups were £51 and the sound from status basses is pretty clear. So, I guess more clarity and £51 is not a bad price. **I was trying to stay with passive electronics....!
The Status sound is more to do with the construction and electronics than the pickups.
23. On some desks, there will be a pad button which will put -20dB cut to the signal before it hits the desks pres. If your soundguy doesn't engage brain or doesn't have this facility available to him/her, there is another solution. I also have amps with hot DIs, my solution? An inline -20dB attenuator, easy to make, easier to buy off eBay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XLR-BALANCED-ATTENUATOR-IN-LINE-VOLUME-20dB-/190680441716?pt=UK_MusicalInstruments_Other_Pro_Audio_Equipment&hash=item2c6570a374 Probably worth getting a short XLR to run from your amp to your attenuator and then the soundguy can plug into the otherend of the attenuator. Having the attenuator sticking straight out of your amp is asking for it to be knocked... Hope this helps.
