1. theres been talk of one in sutton coldfield, didn't come to anything though
 2. SOLD Hey everyone Looking to sell this on pretty quick, i needed it for one gig, which i've now done, decided i'm not gonna keep it. The pedal was brand new from Markbass, but i had a deal on it as the outer packaging was damaged. So the pedal is sold with the uk power supply, i think the manual (i'll check and photograph when i get home), and the white inner box. Pedal is immaculate, no velcro on the back. price? SOLD
 3. Ok, i know i'm not strictly supposed to promote my own auctions, but i know theres a lot of Double bass guys who might like this... i'm selling this through the shop... Just wanted to promote to the lovely guys of Basschat as a lot of you guys deserve a bargain, and this may well end up one! I will be donating to Basschat should one of you guys fancy it. Heres the Link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260858183282&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT#ht_500wt_1194 mods, if i have offended in anyway, let me know and i can rectify James

 5.
Put the springs under all stack pots and that will do the job but make sure you put them the right way up, widest part of the spring at the top bit like an upside down pyramid if you get my drift.
ok cool, so now i know i need three springs, as only one came in the pack... i did get it nearly a year ago, so the bug mustve have been sorted since then, and passed me by. Tah everyone!
 6.
I'm glad you contacted him 1st and sorry if I seemed abrupt. That spring is important btw. Peter
does it go in one of the stacked knobs, or on the master tone? if so i've already got that spring i think...
 7.
Have you asked the most important person first? i.e. you really should get in touch with John before putting it up here imo You'll find him in the affiliates section. Peter
i have, was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, not knocking the product at all, its great, i was more worried about my install abilities lol
 8.
There is a simple fix for this which John can provide in the form of small springs that fit between the upper and lower knobs to complete continuity and stop the buzzing. john will help you with this don't worry, its a known issue. tap up John he's extremely helpful
i did email him, he asked about the pickups and the shielding, maybe my explanation wasn't as good in the email... thanks for the info though bro
 9. Any advice out there for this? i had an east custom pre for my shuker jazz last christmas, put it in the bass, no problems. seemed ok at the time. Had a another bass shortly after which i have gigged non stop since. Just got into playing the jazz again, as needed a different sound for some stuff i was doing. The preamp sounds amazing, mega powerful and tons of sounds. But now there is a non stop buzzing in certain set ups... the config is: 3 stacked pots - blend/volume bass/treble mid cut boost/freq then a pull pot - master tone/pull passive The problems seem to centre around the pull pot when the bass is in passive mode its completely silent with the master one all the way down, as you bring up the master tone the buzz gets steadily louder. in active mode, the same really, accept the buzz is so loud theres no way i could gig with it. with the master tone knob all the way up, if you bring the treble control down the buzz goes away. This isn't true of the bass in passive mode though, the buzz remains. and finally, touching the knobs reduces the buzz, sometimes slightly, and sometimes all together. I know this all sounds like grounding issues, and believe me i have hunted low and high for a problem with the Ameter, but cant find anything. i've run extra grounds to the body shielding from the two troublesome pots to know avail. Unfortunately because of the way the pots come (all special and connected with that lovely multiwire papery stuff (no idea what its called) i cant test it with other pots... and its driving me mad cuz if you ignore the buzz the bass sounds class!!! anyone got any ideas? could i need a replacement pot of some sort?
 10. not that i'd ever call you just to ask such a simply geeky question haha.. that would be an abuse of friendship
yeah man.. its for someone i think we both know... not sure he wants to pay 100 quid though, so most likely ill be sticking one of the cheap new fanes in there on another note, isn't it a little sad that we do in fact know each other well enough to be discussing this on the phone lol... what are we like eh!
13. Howdy All A mate of mine has an old GK mb150 12" combo, he blew the speaker up years ago and threw it away when he took it out. He's asked me to put a new speaker in for him, preferably one like the original.. Does anyone know what driver used to be in these combos? wattage and ohmage? I don't know if GK used a celestion or whatever or whether they used their own? Tah

 16. Hi from walsall do you have a straight sale price in mind? i think i played this same bass on one of my trips to bass direct
 17.
Darn it I've been after that model Bassix for a while. Saw one in angel music, but it had been sold by the time I got the money together. I had a Multitech which was supplemented with a K&K 2 channel pre and additional piezo, as the original 'lecs weren't that good. But I do love Alan's work, very quirky. Had a couple of his EUBs.
how much was it up for if you dont mind me asking?
 18.
Don't worry he'll discover "mr. Pink" within the year and be playing that equally as furiously.....he can always come back to the bass.
Best remark all day... i commend you sir! Why's that never going on in the park in walsall is all i want to add...
 19.
I used to own one identical to this... maybe even the same one? Anyway, it was a backup for my other Bassix EUB... but it was a completely different beast and I was never happy with it. Is there a piezo anywhere on it?
not the most encouraging of feedback lol! well i guess you can call it a piezo... its half a pbass pickup underneath the bridge lol
 20. Evening All Wondering if i could get some help from the double bass peeps.. Basically, ended up going round this blokes house who was selling a load of music gear off cheap as he was moving house (reason i went was because he told me he had a USA strat which turned out to be an encore kinda thing) but anyway he had this bassix EUB which his dad had had custom made many years ago at the cost of 1200 quid. He'd already tried to sell it back to bassix, who told him to stick it on ebay for 300 quid.. at which point i've ended up with it, as he told me his old man would have loved it to go to someone who would play it. Now it sounds lovely acoustically, but ive plugged it in and it sounds absolutely awful... really thin and generally quite dreadful, with a horrid metallic noise at the end of every note... the pickup seems to be a single pbass coil at the end of a piece of metal under the bridge... surely such an expensive eub should sound better? i've included some pics, so if anyone has any advice on... anything at all really lol, i'd be glad to hear from you... have a look at the pics, and see what you think. James
