1. Hi all My mate has had his Tele pinched over the weekend in the birmingham area. Just a little request if you could keep your eyes open for a Fender Roadworn Telecatser, Sunburst finish with maple board. Would be with the matching gigbag, pretty individual as it has a seymour duncan stacked humbucker in the neck position (although it looks like a standard tele P'up) If you see anything in your local cash converters or that kind of place please drop me a message. Thanks (pic of the missing guitar below)
2. also if its only 4 months old, it's still gonna be settling in being so new, so changes in playability are absolutely nothing to worry aboot
3.
Unless you specifically want another head, I'm sure should the worst happen, you could loan one, either from another band, or from anyone local to your gig on here.
+1 to that.. ive always thought that if i ever got to a gig and there was i problem, it would deffo be worth a punt posting on here if i was away from home. Theres some real gems on this here forum
4. how strange i was just thinking about buying one of these.. PM
5. We use the standard delta 15 in most bass combo/cab replacements in the shop, its cost effective and does a good job
I would go for this instead: http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_2583wt_1139 Almost the same thing, but cheaper, and it's not the LF version so will have slightly more top end, which is what you want if using it standalone.
6. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eminence-Delta-15LF-15-4-ohm-500W-Bass-Driver-/140723535429?pt=UK_ConElec_SpeakersPASystems_RL&hash=item20c3c6be45 a bit over your budget but you could make an offer
7. and thus the thread lives on! remember, contact beedster, as the bass is currently his... he's a top fella to deal with
8.
Sorry to hijack this thread, but wanted to ask a little advice. I've got one of the newer American Standard Jazz Basses. I've added a thumb rest and ashtray covers so it looked more like a 62 bass. I've often thought about sourcing some stack knobs to complete the look, but not sure what I needed exactly? I'm happy enough with the pickups that cane standard, but what else would I need exactly? Would it just be a new control plate and the actual knobs? Or would I need anything else for the wiring etc? And where is the best place to buy the bits. I'd prefer Fender parts, but is there a complete kit, or would I need to get the bits separate. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Search for a thread called "golden jazz bass" in the bass guitars forum... i did something very similar
9. Chris.. If you like la bella flats, there's a surprise for you in the case compartment...
10.
Hi all, i have a 62 reissue (and a custom shop light relic) the only thing i don't like is the black bottom part of the concentric controls, if anyone knows where i can get chrome ones let me know. The bass is great though, but i get earth hum on the bridge control. Cheers Paul.
allparts do a set in chrome, but they wont "click" when you turn them
11. Yeh for sure... to be honest, it was refreshing to see someone who understood why a shop had to be more pricey than ebay etc on secondhand...
Exactly, then there's the rent, and the bills, and the staff wages.......oh, and don't forget the profit!! I'm certainly not knocking the shops, at all, just saying you can get things (Certainly new, more common items) alot cheaper elsewhere.
12.
The collecting argument doesnt even come into it, we're talking about a used AVRI here? But, it's a shop, and they have overheads and wages, so you'd expect the price to be higher. I was just offering my advice to the original thread, to suggest they can be bought considerably cheaper than £1200. Nothing more.
Good point... shops can't compete with private sales, simple as that. Remember, if they do get 1200 for it, the government are having 240 of that in VAT
13. looks to be sold to the beedster
14. i've had a few PM's/Comments... there seems to be a fair bit of interest, but no one concrete yet.. sign of the times i guess. PM me an offer, get in touch with any questions... maybe i could do a little demo video.... would give me something to do tonight i guess!
15. 2 and a half to be precise... plus some interest of course
16.
I owned a 1998 AVRI '62 Jazz (black/tort like JMT's) for 8 years and it's the best feeling (I like glossy necks) and sounding bass I've owned. I paid £999 for it new at the time and sold it to pay for an MOT/road tax after I left the band I was in at the time. At £750 - JMT's is a bargain.
Hooray! lol. Feel free to come have a try if your near mate
17. getting close to ebay time, feel free to PM me an offer
18. more interest recieved.. needs to go before 26th of the month, otherwise i guess i'll just keep it haha
19. Cheers man, i might well do that... although i'm suffering an ebay time waster at the moment, not sure i could cope with another
20. back to the top, need to shift this
