1. For sale is my pride and joy. I waited a long time to find one as good as this and never dreamed I'd have to sell it but... The pictures speak for themselves, its a stunner with not issues to report. Its all good! Frets, neck, bodywork, electronics and finish. Older Thumbs are a bit heavier than the newer ones which is a small pay off considering the superior overall quality of the old handmade instruments. I would rather not post it as I only have a gig bag left now so I'd rather it be collected or I would meet half way within reason but please PM me if this would be a problem as I'm sure something can be sorted out. Anyhow picture time! I'll post some more pics if required. Cheers, Paul
2. If you think this looks good, try playing it. Its bloody fantastic! Well worth the asking price.
3.
dude ive got a rockbass on here for £140 been on weeks and still no takers about time i gave it a bump
Trouble is, its a Warwick! They seem to be the lepers of the bass world.
4.
Am i missing something? £750 for a squier?
It's a '83/'84 Japanese made Fender which at the time blew the socks of anything that was coming out of America. The build quality was flawless (unlike a lot of US stuff at the time). These JV series basses are highly regarded and sort after and command a decent price. I've owned a couple of SQ Precisions and they were excellent in every way.
5. I've held off listing this on ebay as there has been some interest here but all has gone quiet. Last bump and then its ebay time.
6. Ebay looming BUMP!
7. And back up for sale
8.
Please, this bass is not cheap..........it's inexpensive..........its also superb.........fretless it would be mine.................good luck
Cheers. Let me just find my pliers!
Crikey Paul! That is a beaut. Good job you have another one as backup
I wish I could have a few more and a certain fretless would be nice but with one thing and another I'm a little over stretched. Along with my '73 Precision this will be one bass I'll regret selling.
9.
I have my 1990 with the predominantly Maple neck up for sale and there's no way I'd let it go as cheap as this!
I know, but desperate times mate! I'm gunning for a quick BassChat sale but failing that it'll go on ebay for a fair bit more.
10. Pics or no pics this is a great amp at a bargain price! I've been completely amp GAS free after buying mine.
11. Wow! I've never owned a Genz amp but I did have the 6x10 cab and it was outstanding, but big! Used it with my F1 which looked lost sitting on top.
12. Out of all the basses I've owned, gigged and parted with its the precisions I miss the most. I love my Warwicks but there will always be room for a P-bass. Its nothing to do with image, I'm too old and smelly to be bothered about all that stuff. But the Precision just has that tone that on occasions has made me turn around and smile at my cabs with that noise coming out of them.
13.
and is now away getting a much needed refret.
Very nice and what lovely flame. Are you replacing the frets with the Warwick brass jobbies?
14.
Keep forgetting to put up me Wick.lol.A very rare Warwick Streamette in mint condition!Mirrored active Ps,curved body ala thumb,Birds eye maple plus numerous other woods tboot, really nice player and kickin sound,
Now thats porn!
15.
still here! Who wants it?
ME! I'd love another one but bank says no. Folk'll trip over themselves to snap up Fenders for this kind of money but ignore rare opportunities to get basses like this. Very strange.
16. Looking at the completed listings there are some 'good' prices depending on your point of view. It dose seem an unpredictable market.
17. Guess what bass I'd prefer!
18. I'm really quite envious as its something I'd love to do. What makes it worse is that I'm in a darn good band which dose gig a fair bit but only around the same old local venues. I've almost given up trying to motivate them.
19.
Sheesh. The gall of some folk eh.
Can a seller demand that you cover the fees?
20. Linky! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HARTKE-HX-410-HYDRIV...=item19c51ec3f6
21. Its suddenly changed to a fancy black 5 stringer. Looks very nice too but still expensive.
22. Didn't the '76s have plastic knobs?
23. Stroof! I wish I hung onto my pre Ernie!
