7. Just thought I'd share the beginnings of a custom build I'm having made from Paul Everson. First off, I have to say how patient and accommodating Paul is after numerous emails each containing different ideas, variations on a theme and totally off the wall ideas until we arrived at the concept we first thought of! However, better to muse on all the different possibilities now before making drastic changes to a near complete bass! Paul sent me a pics of a few possible top woods based on my initial ideas and eventually I settled for the spalted beech burr - pic below. More details and pics as they arrive. Anyway, the idea is for a 4 string fretless based on Paul's Nouveau style bass. The basic spec is: 4 String fretless bass - "Nouveau" stlye
Bolt-on neck, non-angled 2 a-side headstock 34" scale 24 fret Maple neck with maple lined ebony fretless fingerboard, mother of pearl side dots Walnut body with spalted beech top wood Gold Schaller tuners and bridge Graphite nut Single humbucker - handwound double-jazz style Two band Kent Armstrong active circuit Three control knobs - volume, treble, bass
8.
Hi Pete...I used to own this bass ..Plays like a dream.....small bass world eh!......John
Small world indeed!
 9. First up, I have to say that I am a huge fan of Martin's basses. However, I am not quite getting on with the Singlecut - also known as 'The Melt'! It's a 33" scale, PJ pup configuration, 40mm top nut, red led's along the top edge of the fingerboard. It has custom wound Bare Knuckle P & J. The neck is flamed maple / purpleheart with a birdseye fingerboard. The body is alder with a flamed maple / cocobolo top. The circuit is Demeter 3 band. It's very light - just on the 8lb mark I think. Beautiful to look at and very easy to play. Great tonal range and has just had a complete set-up. This bass was originally built for Alex at the Gallery. I was asking £1400 but, just to move it quickly, I'm asking £1250. No offers, one price. Comes with a brand new Fusion gig bag.
 10. Thinking of changing my mind! So, while I dither, why not take advantage and get yourself a superb bass? ;0))

 15. Fender Squier Vintage Modified Fretless Jazz Bass for sale. It's hardly been used but has acquired a light scuff on the bottom of the body, near the strap lock. The scuff is only surface and will polish out. I will do this before the sale but thought I should mention it in all honesty.
