1. Post Bank holiday bump
2.
Lovely-looking bass Pete. I tried one of Paul's basses at the last Bass Day I went to and it was arguably my bass of the day; I liked it far more than the Fodera I played. Nice bloke too. Best of luck with the sale and have a bump on me.
Have to agree, a great bass to play and really has the 'mwah-factor'
3. Damp Sunday morning burmp!

5.
That is very, very pretty. It's an amazing top wood too. I'd be interested to hear what it sounds like with the pickup in that position.
The sound is extremely articulate. The placement of the EMG pup is ideal for capturing the best of the bridge and neck resonance while bringing out the 'mids' nicely - just enough to provide a balance in the sound. With the eq flat the bass's 'natural' tone is tight, with well defined highs and lows. A touch of bass and you get that mellow 'mwah'. The treble requires just a slight tweak and you can get a very bright, almost twang to the bass! However, there is one drawback .... me! Due to a long term neck and should injury the bass just 'sits' slightly out of alignment for my dodgy shoulder. I've tried various strap/strap-pin arrangements but haven't yet discovered a suitable position that alleviates my problem. If I cannot find a solution that is both practical and suitable then the bass just might be available for someone who is 'normal' PM me if anyone wants to show any interest.
6. Well folks, it's finally arrived! Sounds as good as it looks too 'Mwahvellous'...
7. Bob bought my Limited Edition P bass. What a great bloke and such a wealth of knowledge too! Many thanks, Bob. May you long enjoy your music laden retirement
8. Completed a trade with Bassman '94. Great communications and a great bloke to deal with. Cheers, Manraj.
9. This is my very recently acquired Overwater Perception Deluxe 5. It's beautiful bass, sounds absolutely fantastic, is fairly light for a 5 string - approx 9lbs (a tad over but difficult to judge on dodgy scales). But, and it's a big but, it's a 35" scale and that is causing me problems. This bass - and the Precision I have advertised - are the last of my basses that either weight too much for me or are too long in scale. The bass is pristine, copies with an embossed Overwater hard case and is sublime in every detail. 10. Apologies for the 'quick' bump, but I have just seen the lightweight bass of my dreams. So, if someone is interested in a cash sale, I will accept £895 (no offers) - trade value remains the same. Thanks.
11. This is about the last bass from my herd that I'm looking to sell I've recently began to sell any of my basses that, because of their weight, aggravate a neck injury. So, the Fender USA 60th Limited Anniversary Edition Precision Bass, with a maple neck and fingerboard weighs in at 9lb.
12. Looking to sell (preferably) or possibly trade this very lovely looking - and sounding. I took the bass as a trade but, unfortunately, although it's a great bass it just isn't for me. The craftsmanship is superb, as you would expect, and the attention to detail is first rate. The neck is very slim (jazz) and is so easy to play. The body is nicely shaped and balances perfectly whether sitting or standing. The tonal range is vast! It has a active/passive system (pull volume for passive) and the eq is so easy to use to find the sound you're looking for!
13.
Looking good...a deep set bolt on too..interesting configuration, whats your thoughts behind this ?
Thoughts were basically to have a single pup with a deep set bolt-on to go for the mwaaah factor The resonance and sustain should be superb and the EMG pre & pup will be a great match. Flexing the fingers already!!
14. Scooby

gone.

Beautiful bit of timber for a bargain price!
15. Scooby

GONE

I have the opportunity to buy a vintage bass that I have wanted for soooo long! Unfortunately, the only way to achieve my ambition is to sell one of my existing basses. GONE
16.
Scooby, thats a really fair price for an Overwater My Perception DLX 4-Strings is a keeper... Hopefully it will find a new home soon, they are one of the best
Cheers, Fred. Yes, I reckon it's a fair price even with the 'character line' on its face After all, it's an Overwater, built in Carlisle, has all the tone of an Overwater - what more could you ask for?
17.
might help if you tell us what you're after!
That's a good idea Possibly looking at a Fender Jazz or Precision - preferable US made and lightweight models. Could be tempted by a Warwick Thumb or similar...
18. Possible trade offers?
19. Until Monday, I will accept £700 cash - no offers as this is now so cheap for an Overwater (even with a 'character' line on its face ).
20. It's a Friday style bump - and I've polished the fingermarks off
21.
oh wow, a sad story. Good luck with the sale. BTW if it were mine I wouldn't mind the join mark
Thanks! However, after my own particular brand of GAS (Gross Act of Stupidity), I do not need the bass around to keep reminding me of my clumsiness
22. Now re-advertised following an act of gross stupidity! All details in the main text Further pics are available if requested and the fingermarks will be polished off - possibly, if I can trust myself
