2.
Hi Lloyd, I will have too find out... Lee
Interested in this also, should first interested party fall through.
 3.
When I had an RMX2450 I mounted it in a standard Boschma rack and the end of the amp where the rear mounts would go sit very nicely on the bottom edge of the rear panel of the rack so it's fully supported when sat the right way up. I did store it upside-down by accident a few times meaning there was effectively nothing supporting the weight of the amp at the rear and this was fine, I never had any issues with it bending the frame of the rack or anything. I transported it regularly and never really took much notice of what way around the rack was when I was transporting it and I never had any issues not having the rear mounts. I'd very highly recommend the Boschma racks anyway regardless of them being a perfect fit for this amp. So basically IMHO, if you get a standard (non shallow) Boschma rack you wouldn't actually need the rear mounting ears.
That was going to be my next question, im gonna need a standard size 2u rack then. Im off for a look in the for sale section.
 4.
Hi Paul, I use SKB and they're pretty good... In terms of "rear" ears I simply pack the above and below the amp with tape covered polystyrene blocks/foam to support it... If you put it in a 2U case, with this support it holds it perfectly... Cheers Mark
That makes sense, where do you get the foam/polystyrene from?
 5. Yo! So i've just bought myself a QSC RMX 2450. Now im gonna need a rack case/bag to put it in. I'm guessing gator or some company like that all work to standard sizes e.g. 19" etc. However, my question is specifically based on the qsc power amps, apparently in order to secure these at the back of a rack case, brackets bought directly from qsc themselves are needed, as the ears at the back of the amp do not stick out flush to the back of a rack and i've read if not properly secured front and back, can cause damage to either the front rack ears, or the rack itself. http://www.qscaudio.com/pdfs/rreg.pdf Has anyone managed to work out a solution (universal rack ears) or does anyone know where i can find these qsc rack ears in the UK? thanks for your time. Also, any recommendations on cases would be great Cheers. Paul
 6.
Might be worth looking at some of the lightweight QSC's - PLX's, PL's and GX's...
Why is that? How do you think the QSC RMX 2450 would pair with my amp? 750watts per channel @ 4 ohms. I'd run it in parellel mode if i ever got another svt410hlf. Would 750 watts be overkill or would it give me a decent amount of headroom if again i was careful? The input sensitivity of it is 1.23v (+4.0 dBu) Surely the extra headroom i would have in stereo mode could counter balance the input sensitivity issue? Also running only one channel in stereo mode with the other channels gain control rolled off would not damage the amp right? Sorry for all the questions Paul
 7. I've also been looking at a QSC RMX 2450. This is 750 Watts per channel at 4 ohms, this should give me a decent amount of headroom, however the input sensitivity on this amp is 1.23v (+4.0 dBu) Would this be worth getting for the extra power? Cheers.
 8.
Now sold. Donation to follow!
Glad this all worked out splendidly, you're deal earned me four John Smiths Conan
 9.
Which is rated at 500 W RMS? 4 Ohms... The QSC will make 800W RMS or so into 4 ohms in bridge mode so you might want to be careful with the Master volume.. The good news is that you can't quite drive the QSC 100% on the input side so that helps.. Mark
Yeah that's the specs for my cab. According to the specs the qsc does 1100 watts bridged at 4 ohms, will this be too much power, even if I'm carefull, I was also thinking of running my cab just off one side at 425 watts, with a view to getting another hlf in the future and running that from the other side. 425 should be enough right? for medium sized gigs.
 10.
What Cab do you have?
Ampeg svt 410hlf
 11.
Nope, Still 1db :-)
Well if 1db is only going to make and inaudible difference I may as well go for it right? Is the qsc usa 850s a good match for my cab you reckon? Also, if I ran it bridged at 4 ohms would that be overkill, or would it give me decent headroom if I'm careful? Cheers Paul
 12.
It's listed in the specifications as 1.16 volts, which is about +1.3dBv. So you won't be able to get full power out of the amp with that pedal.
That's at 8 ohms right? Surely it will be slightly less at 4 ohms?
 13.
It's listed in the specifications as 1.16 volts, which is about +1.3dBv. 14. Hey, i'm looking at getting myself a power amp. The three i am trying to decide between are. Peavey cs 800 Peavey PV 8.5C QSC USA 850 I am looking at using my VT Bass Deluxe Pedal as a pre amp however, it says in the manual that it can drive a power amp with an input sensitivity between -10db and 0db. I've had a look around and i have found the following: Peavey PV 8.5C - 0db Peavey cs 800 - +3dbv QSC USA 850??? I have a link to the QSC manual here but the only thing i can find in it is input impedence, not sensitivity, if somebody could help me out that would be great. QSC Manual Does it matter about the input sensitivity at all, will the vt deluxe be okay as a pre when paired up with these power amps? Cheers Paul

 16.
Hi, Would love the cabinet (and maybe the amp.) but as usual, too far away - I'm up near Lancaster. I had one of the Pavey heads & it was excellent. Would really love the speaker cab, but I can't think how it could be got even up here without costing the earth. You don't have any mates or contacts who could get it to, say, Manchester? Stompbox.
Pmd re head delivery, if you can give me the size and weight I can organise a courier

 18. I'm after a power amp, basically, my head has been in getting repaired for about 18 weeks now. It's a bit of a joke I know but the fella fixing it has apparently been let down by a supplier! So I'm thinking of buying myself a power amp, and using my vt deluxe as a pre. Trouble is I want something of decent quality. I want to use it with my svt 410hlf which has an RMS of 500 watts at 4 ohms. Can anyone recommend me a decent power amp? Price ain't really an issue but something between 200 and 400 would be around what id be willing to pay. Cheers Paul
