  1. I'm tryingi to track down two ACGs that I used to own. One has been found, however I'm still keen to find this one. Happy to pay a decent and fair prce to recover it. Thanks for looking.
  2. Just been to see the show at The Met in Bury and had a great. Highly recommended if you liked the Paul Simon album.
  3. I seem to have settled around the £500 to £600 for a workhorse gigging bass. Lots of choice in this bracket and just seems to work for me. I have a couple of expensive ones for my own pleasure mostly.
  4. Indeed. We are already in touch thanks.
  5. Someone on here has asked for a few of the items which is great. List amended accordigly.
  6. Nobody has mentioned All Right Now yet, amazing. I left my last covers band because a goodly number of tunes already listed (and ARN) were on the set list. Mostly in a decent originals band but I do play in a covers band occasionally with a female singer so doing more interesting tunes now. Also fair to say that one man's meat is another man's poison. We will never all like the same things, which is good.
  7. If I could play that that I'd be crowd funding at this point.
  8. One for me please. I do feel Carol Kaye is an omission though.
  9. Hi folks Apologies if this is in the wrong place. My father-in-law has just gone into a care home as he's knocking on a bit and just needs the extra support. He's asked me to clear out his shed where he had a bunch of tools that I thought may be of use to someone here. The most relevant ones I think are: Black & Decker DN31B Jig Saw Black & Decker BD713 Planer Black & Decker BD227C Circular Saw Rally Electric Orbital Sander (SKU 973048) Wickes Planer (SKU 505096) B&Q 1/3 Sheet Sander UB135W55A There is also a pillar drill but I need to recover that on the next trip over. Is this lot of interest to anybody? If so please PM me and we can see what can be sorted out. Many thanks
  10. Beautiful, I have a couple of Alan's fretless basses. Both outstanding.
  11. Not certain that I'd classify some of the above as rock bands tbh. Love The Tubes - saw them in 70s in Southampton.
  12. Just acquired a lovely bass from Martin. Great transaction and comms. Highly recommended.
  13. Nothing in the immediate future (having recently picked up a fretless 5er).
  14. For sentimental reasons my first 'proper' bass one of the original Spector Legends (serial no. 8854): From 'just a great bass' POV, this ACG fretless was awesome. I would buy both back in a second and have actually tried to track them down but to no avail.
  15. A P bass harness with CTS pots. The wiring may need a little tidy up but in full working order. £15 posted UK mainland Pics:
  16. What it says in the title really. This was bought as a pre 'roadworn' part and never used. £10 posted UK mainland
  17. Hi folks A very well regarded Wizard Thumper P bass pickup for sale. Clearly has been used but in good condition and in full working order with plenty of wire left. £65 posted UK mainland - SOLD ELSEWHERE Here are a few pics, let me know if you have any questions.
  18. I thought this might be the case, but I can't see anything on the bass indicating this so I left it off the listing.
  19. Hi folks, for sale and/or potential trade is my Yamaha Attitude Special; originally Surf Green refinished in Lava Red. I am genuinely in two minds about this so I may withdraw this at any moment. I am the second owner of this bass from new. The original owner bought it new, originally Sea Foam Green, and had it re-finished in a colour close to Lave Red which was one of the options for the full-fat Attitudes. It was not a pro job and with the various scuffs acquired over the years, the original finish does show through in a couple of places. The bass itself still plays and sounds great and has original hardware and electronics except the for the strap lock buttons. The bass will come with a gig bag. The neck is fairly slim with a 40mm nut, slightly bigger than a vintage style Jazz Bass but not as big as a traditional P. It's very slick in the hands; the finish on the back of the 12" radius neck is nicely worn in and very easy to get around on. The fret condition is fine with only light wear. The neck is straight and the truss rod works fine. The body is light and lively but still well balanced against the neck. The pickup combo and electronics is fairly unique: You get a standard P pickup with its own volume knob but no tone knob, as well as the signature big passive humbucker in the neck. This has a separate volume and a tone control. Basically, you can start off with a juicy, growling P-style tone, then use the neck pickup to dial in a whole world of extra fatness and low-end heft. There is a sticker on the bass that Mr Sheehan had on his bass that I also believe is no longer available. The specs are: · Alder body · Split single coil and passive humbucker. · Maple, 1-piece Neck 34" scale, 12" radius · Finish - Lava Red (was Surf Green) · Body - Alder body · Fretboard - Maple · Weight - 4.0kg (8.75lbs) · Nut width - 40mm · Pickups & electronics – All original Looking at recent sales, the relative scarcity of these basses and bearing in mind the re-fin, I think that a fair price is £600 now reduced to £550. In order that you can see and hear what you're buying I would much prefer collection or to meet up and hand over in person if at all possible, but shipping may be an option and would be for you to organise.
  20. Just completed a very easy and efficient transaction with Tom. Fast payment, great comms and a very nice person to deal with, thank you very much.
  21. Yes, that is quite upsetting. What is it called (just so I can more easily avoid)?
