1. sold a scratch plate to Will, have dealt with this great guy B4, top notch again, highly recommended to trade with...
2. hi Russ, id like to offer £30 for the Ibanez PD7 Phat Head,....... as its car tax & mot time soon its as far as i can go. cheers, Nj
3. I don't know what bass you should buy....but with that buget IMO you should try as many different basses as you can and then...have a good think. There's alot of good stuff in your price bracket. Re second hand, you can get more or less anything with a grand and if you decide you don't like it you will probably recoupe most (if not all) your outlay. You would probably be pretty safe buying S/H on here, ie getting a good one.
4. reduced...........bump price reduction to £9.... screws and postage & packing is worth three + quid (ish) so the plate is a bargain....it is a good fit and makes a change from the Jaco look.
5. A Question I hope someone will be able to answer because I can't find out. Is there a scratchplate available that is a perfect fit for a Squier VM P? .....I want a torty one, I can't imagine the black plate on this bass is unique. Anyone changed theirs? what model did you use, perfect fit, all holes line up? Any help appreciated.
6. Firstly here's a pair of push on flat top precision knobs, nice crisp knurling but are a little bit tarnished so look well used. They would suit a used condition bass or a reliced bass, but probably wouldn't look too good on a brand new mint bass if you know what I mean. £5 inc postage. Edit: they look black in the pic, but are silver nickel coloured. Also one set of 13 scratchplate screws, these are also suitable for a relic/ well used instrument as although the chrome is good, they are just starting to form rust in the screw crosses. As there are 13, these would be suitable for precisions, jazz's, strats & telecasters etc. No pic, but i'm sure you can imagine what they look like. £2.50 inc postage. ALSO free with this set is 3 Jazz control plate screws in the same condition as above. Also, one set of 13 new unused fresh chrome scratchplate screws, these would suit precisions, jazz's, strats & telecasters etc. £2.50 inc postage.
7. As tittle says, this plate is a 1 ply black plate I made to fit the Vintage Icon 'Jaco' jazz bass, comes with screws. As the bass is allready drilled for a plate you can put this on & take it off whatever you choose. £10 inc free postage and comes with screws. 9. Having just read the excellent Tony Iommi autobiography 'From Heaven To Hell' i've decided I need to have some post Never say Die CD's in my collection. Tony is a great musician IMO. You see I stopped buying them when it came to an end with Ozzy, I had Heaven & Hell on vinyl which is a good record but I want to add to my CD's. Is there anybody out there with opinions good or avoid on the many cd's there are featuring Tony from Heaven & Hell to pressent. Thanks for any info.
10. when I saw the title, I wondered if the thread was about the Uriah Heep classic, lol
11. +1 .....around £950 in that condition would be my guess, you could get a Squier VM P and a nice combo and have around £400 left for the charity, plus nobody would probably notice the difference from a playability and sound point of view. IMO
12. Just bought a nice Squier Bass Neck form Paul, great guy to deal with. Cheers Paul, I would recommend B.C.ers deal with Paul with total confidence. Regards, Nick
13. Matt Freeman P is great (I have one) but these are also very good, at a good price too, HTH http://www.djmmusic.com/ItemMatrix.asp?GroupCode=V4-BASS&MatrixType=1
