1. Low but not so low I can't reach the G - and I tend to play near the bridge.
2. One of the reasons I like Pyramids is that the E string tends to keep it's sound. The same couldn't be said of Rotosound flats that I've tried. It's just a shame the Pyramids seem a bit fragile.
3. Excellent! Nice to hear about a recommended seller too.
4. I really like Pyramid Flats in terms of feel and tone, but they're not very sturdy. Odd really, seeing as they cost quite a bit for set...
5.
Will tea work? Well there's only one way to find out.
It does work on some plastics, but needs to be hot. Another possibility is hot malt vinegar.
6. Can anyone recommend somewhere in the UK that sells Mighty Mite necks and bodies? They do occasionally turn up on Ebay but it'd be nice to know of another source.
7.
even Pino? surely not...
Well, his tone is less 'barky farty' sounding than the others...
8. Call me a philistine (just not all at once) but as a fretless player all of the above apart from Mick's stuff sound bloody awful. I guess I'll just never like jazz...
9. I did ask the guy selling it about those lines - some seem to be drawn on but by the time he got around to answering whether other lines were etched on, the bass had sold
10. Hmm - shame about those lines - otherwise I'd buy it!
11. Rob Wright - IMHO the best P sound there is.

15. Is the scratchplate a standard Fender one for a Pbass? I ask as sometimes Squier ones don't have the holes for the screws in the same place.
16.
I was looking for a replacement pickguard for 5 string Squire Precision - complicated by the fact it has jazz style pickups. There were quite a few places selling them, but I could never establish whether they would fit or not! In the end I postponed the search due to confusion :-)
Squier pickguards are sometimes not the same as Fender ones, from my experience. They usually fit but the holes for the screws might be in a different place.

20. That may vary from person to person. Any time I create artwork or music, I tend to 'see' it in my mind's eye as a structure or pattern - if that makes sense! As I learn by ear, I also tend to 'see' what I'm learning as patterns. If I can't figure that out in a song the bass line doesn't sit in my mind until I figure out the pattern of it.
21. It went to a luthier about 9 months ago - but I suspect he didn't do enough work on it
22. I'll give that a try!

24. Well, there seems to be a smaller, dark space behind the 'X' of the nut, so maybe that's it?
