1. Hi Geoff Using my poundshop tape measure it is about 43mm. it has an asymetric neck profile so is thicker at the top(e string) than the botto a bit like a bass clef but more of an ofset v, if this makes any sense! It feels very natural in the hand.
2. I have the exact same bass and agree they are absolutely fantastic!
3.
Fancy a trade for my geddy/bassdoc fretless matey?
Thanks for the offer, it looks great but i'm not after a fretless at the moment.
4. I'm thinking of trading my ACG Graft Finn 4 Passive. Its virtually as new only had it about 3 months but concluded that i am more confident on a jazz neck, and this won't be used as much as it deserves to be played. The neck on this does feel great in the hand with the minimal laquer finish and asymetric shape but just a fraction wide for me and i am always gigging my jazz bass. It is a wonderfully built bass, exceptionally light and well balanced. Zebrano top Hipshot Type B 19mm spacing Gotoh GB7 tuners. ACG Custom Pickups with SB single coil in 25mm wide housing Hipshot string tree. Volume/Tone/4 way rotary pickup selector. (neck, both series, both parallel, bridge) It is near the bottom on the graft thread in the affiliates http://basschat.co.uk/topic/187466-acg-graft-range/ Trade value £600 and would be interested in a PJ setup with a jazz neck or something like the below. Now also sale price of £575. Squier classic vibe jazz or 60s precision Musicman sterling Fender PJ / jazz deluxe/road worn jazz Lakland duck dunn lightweight head and cab
5. Thats lovely, if i didn't already have one of alans basses on order i would be very interested. Good luck with the sale!
6. Bren contacted me when I wanted a wireless and offered me one he had and was not using His description, delivery, packaging and communication was spot on. Product is great too. Many thanks Bren would definately recomend you to anyone.
7. Love the look of this, zoot basses are fabulous to play, and Mark is a top guy. Good luck with the sale
8. Thanks for the nice comments guys the Zoot basses are exceptionally good basses and I would love to hold onto this but needs must!
9. Yep me too fella, played it at band practise last night and really enjoyed it, am thinking i might hang onto it for a bit.
10. Hi All I have an Iceni zoot chaser bass which I have recently aquired, but my circumstances have changed and I need to raise a bit of cash and create some space, so am putting it up for sale. I am not 100% sure on the specs, but I believe the below review sounds like an almost identical bass. http://www.harmonyce...products/105360 Quote Made in Essex,24 frets, 4 strings. Two band active EQ with low pass switch, volume and pick-up blend. Two pick-ups - Seymour Duncan Basslines SJB-2N Jazz at neck and Seymour Duncan Basslines SMB-4D Musicman at bridge.Body is made of one piece swamp ash with gloss black finish. Neck is bolt on and made of seven pieces of bubinga and maple, with a rosewood fingerboard. Body style is modern yet traditional if you know what I mean - nothing too alien looking and slightly familiar. Headstock is small and well recessed with two tuners either side and a string tree for correct tension. Gotoh tuners and an Iceni Sustain bridge. Neck is 34" scale a little broader than a Jazz bass, but much thinner - sort of between a Rickenbacker and a Jazz Bass and fast, with excellent fretwork (it should be it being handmade). Unquote I would class it as good condition, it has some buckle rash on the back and some dings and scratches on it but nothing major. Looking for £400. Only trades I might consider would be for something cheaper + cash perhaps a squier classic vibe jazz or precision maybe a 5 string.
11. The body is from the fretted version but it has had the neck taken off and replaced by the fretless (which usually has a sunburst body)
12. Hi all I'm looking to sell my squier vintage modified fretless. It is different to the norm in the fact that it is a vintage modified fretted body, with the vintage modified fretless neck on it. It also has had the pickups upgraded to a set of wizard hammers (i was told when I bought it on this forum a year ago). All mods were done at the bass gallery in Camden It plays and sounds great, really low action, and the pickups make it a very giggable fretless, I did want to try and make the transition to fretless, but it just doesn't fit in with my current function band. Only reason for the sale is due to a new bathroom being required (=necessity), against a bass not getting played as much as it should (=luxury), or so I keep telling myself. It has had roundwounds on it, and there is a little bit of marking on the fingerboard, but it is minimal. I have tried to catch this in one of the photos. I'm looking for £190 and am based in Chelmsford in Essex. I have an old gig bag for it, and would prefer it collected if possibe. Phil
13. Yep I can vouch for this being a very nice bass, sounds like you've done alot of work to it, looking forward to the photos!
14. Last price drop to £250...any takers?
15.
looks sweet, i think the price range is about right, bought a MIM jazz bass for around the same price recently
Thanks for the feedback Mr the Man or can I call you Cris Bump
16. Bump for a price drop, not really sure what the going rate for these is.
17. Bump!
18. Hi all Up for sale is a Fender MIM precision believe it is candy apple red. I'm selling for one of my relatives it was bought as her second instrument for music GSCE, played for a few hours and has been unused since. It is a 1995-96 model but it mint condition, I have had a look over and can't find any marks on it. It still has the plastic on the pickguard. Strings probably haven't been changed since '96 but other than that its great! Quite fancy hanging onto it for a bit but I am more of a jazz man. Looking for £270, now £250 Phil
19.
I've got an identical model and it is quite simply superb. You'd be hard pressed to find a better jazz bass at this price in fact!
I also have an identical model and do agree!
20. I have the very same rig, very portable, loud and clear!
21.
Hi Phil Can't see any photos in the original advert Will you be able to stick some up? Thanks!
Sorry mate this sold a while back, i've updated the ad to show this.
22. Hi All, Up for sale is my Squier Vintage modified precision which I have only had for a few months after buying it off here. Below is the original advert and photos. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=107906 Bought it as I fancied trying a precision, after always playing a jazz. Its a lovely sounding bass the, US pickup does make it sound like a US fender and it is easy to play, but I am a jazz player at heart, and need to buy a laptop so need to raise money. I have added a set of schaller straplocks also. Would like to get back the £225 I paid for it. Phil
