Just a slight correction - there are only 23 of these in existence. 24 were ordered but one turned out to be STUPIDLY heavy and Dan Lakin wouldn't let it out the door. Mine's a keeper! These are great basses, and especially good considering the price.
Sssssshhhh You're making me really want to keep it!! Thanks for the correction! Mine is really light, surprised he had a heavy one.

I have just bought a new bass (again) which I am hoping will be a keeper, so my one in one out policy must be enforced. It’s sadly going to have to be my Lakland JO DPLE, which I bought about a year ago from this forum. It’s a Dudepit limited edition in a Sherwood Green usual sparkly lakland finish, and matching headstock. Only 24 of these basses were ever made and only 4 with the maple board option (or so I hear!) It’s a beautiful looking and playing bass, the neck is one of the slimmest and easiest I have played. It has a j-retro installed as standard and also the stock fralin pickups, which makes the tonal variation excellent. Also has a spare black pearl pickguard It has a little bit of buckle rash on the back and a couple of little marks, the worst one shown in the pictures. Looking for what I paid for it which is £580. It doesn’t come with a case but I can probably chuck a used hard case in for an extra £30 if needed/if I can.

Hi all I've only recently bought this off the forum from Bassatnight but something else I really want has come up. So if there is interest in this I will sell it before I let myself get too attached to it, if not I'll happily hang on to it. Its a lovely looking and playing bass the quality of these Sandbergs is great, and its very versatile tonewise from the short amount of playing time I have had with it. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...;hl=sandberg+JM Hope you don't mind me using the link Steve. Phil
I bought a Washburn AB10 acoustic/electric bass off Phil today. He was beautiful to deal with. Totally honest, very accommodating regarding my faff-arseing about for two weeks, and really hospitable. It was a pleasure mate, thanks.
Likewise Nigel! Thanks for the kind words! Phil
I supported the Blockheads a few years back at a festival in Essex.... I remember hanging out backstage in the dark as the lights were buggered.... I turned around suddenly and NWR was standing right in front of me....... scared the sh*t out of me..... it was like nosferatu crept up on me....
Was that braintree rocks? I was on the line up there too, saw nwr in the backstage beer tent, really nice guy. Weather could have been better!!
That Washburn is lovely and a really good price as well. If I didn't have a n imminent new arrival I would be very tempted, they have a gorgeous d/b sound to them,at least my mates one does. Good luck with your sale.
Thanks for your encouraging words! Reason I am having a clearout is due to a new arrival, and its not a bass!

Hi All, I've felt prompted to introduce myself after seeing the last post from Essex! Been a member for a long time but have only become quite active in the last few months and realised I have not introduced myself! I have been playing for about 15 years in various bands, mainly rock, and my current squeezes are a 91ish MM Stingray black maple neck and a Lakland JO Jazz with J retro, although I have been hanging around the For sale forum alot recently alot of good stuff on there! Currently playing in a couple of wedding style covers bands, but a target for the year is to try and learn a bit of theory, the forum on here looks really helpful. Phil
