  3. "Hello mate, can I borrow your amp?"..... Also miss my drummer at gigs "have you seen my [insert any choice of cymbal or drum gear here]. I'm sure I packed it. May have left it in the garage though" ...... Dammit Dave!!
  4. I've been doing a bit of looking into this recently. As BigRedX says, the standard on the market are restricted to 100W. There's a few that hit 150W. I'm considering a standard Captor unit in order that I can use a low wattage amp at home silently and for recording, as well as using the head un-attenuated when the kids aren't asleep. Twonotes is definitely worth a look in this area, as is Rivera. Not cheap though, and depends on your rating. Also as above I think it does wear valves down quicker, and whether it really delivers the tone you need at home is all personal preference IMO. Equally, the Ampeg PF20 is worth looking at as a home practice amp for silent/ loud home practice. Doesn't need a load and can DI post power section. Twonotes also have some good power amp and cab simulations (I'm shedding one) if it's silent you're after with appropriate sims - and there's other great options out there. Just depends exactly what you're looking to achieve in my opinion, and then work out the most cost effective route to achieving what you want.
  5. Lovely rig - GLWTS. Always wanted to get my hands on and Bigblock 750 to try, but not at the moment sadly.
  6. Yeah great piece of gear, thanks Gillento. No I wasn't aware they were doing that.....going to go and do some reading up now. Maybe re-assess. Thanks!
  7. Hi, Changing my home set up and this doesn't fit in. Not owned it for long, in pristine condition with the sticky strips still in place. Link below, bit this essentially offers power amp SIM, cab SIM (with mic choice) together with eqs and verb. Guitar and bass Sims onboard plus expansion is available. Very intuitive to get to grips with (I'm a dunce and terrible at gear tech and this was a doddle). It also offers DI for your amp in a live environment, pre or post power section, with the ability to add any combination of cab, power amp settings. It also offers IR loading (not one of my strengths)! Highly flexible and high quality. Boxed, with all the gubbins. Link below and drop me a line with any queries. Looking for £190 including postage. Cheers https://www.two-notes.com/torpedo-cab-m
  8. Hey Jimmy depending on the head...hit me up
  9. ...can discuss price Jim if it helps Isn't the formula for optimal bass ownership n+1 anyway... N= number of current basses
  10. Hi, Price on this is highly negotiable. I had the Chicago iron parachute wah rehoused some years ago. The enclosure I have it in has reached the end of its life now as it's a bit clunky (but still useable), and the circuit works fine within it. I have the original enclosure, and all the mechanics, but one of the plastic bits has broken and Chicago iron are rubbish at customer service, so I haven't managed to source an additional part and my local tech wasn't really interested in trying to resolve it. That said the circuit could be rehoused in another crybaby chassis. You'll have to get a quote unless you fancy it yourself. The blue enclosure is heavy, so postage might be a bit. The effect sound is wonderful. So, I'm basically happy to discuss what you may or may not want out of this bundle of fun, and discuss the price accordingly.
  11. Hi, seems I'm clearing through some pedals... Used again in a previous board iteration (Velcro on bottom) and home use, I don't have a need for this anymore. Other than Velcro, grade a condition. Robust and rugged as you'd expect from Palmer. Price includes postage. Any questions, let me know. Thanks
  12. Hi, looking for £15 posted. This comes boxed, with power adaptor and instructions. The issue is the switch is temporamental and I'm not into effects repairs or tinkering so selling at what hopefully is a sensible price for someone who does. There's a 3 year warranty sticker in the box, bit suspect it's past that based on the colour of the manual included. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks
  13. Hi, this formed part of a previous board incarnation about 18 months ago. I need to check the routing tbh, but I think it's Jack in and Jack and/or di out. LED is off when the signal is stopped. On when signal is passing. Looking for £20 posted.
  14. Might consider but I'd need to make sure i get the right packaging and courier. Where are you based?
  15. Price adjustment: £260 posted Right, I'm not sure about this, but listing at the mo to guage interest. Mini fooger MF delay. Been on my board for the last 2 years, live and studio. Moved on to tape delay for the time and this has been sitting around. I'm asking a fair bit, but they don't really come up, and it reflects my probable reluctance. Includes postage - tracked and insured. Might not leave it up for long tbh. There's a couple of small marks which you can see in the pics. Velcro on the bottom. Anyway spec and pics below. Thanks The MF Delay is a 100% analog delay providing 35mS-700mS of rich, blooming analog repeats. At shorter settings, the MF Delay is fast and articulate. This is perfect for creating classic slap-back sounds with expressive swells, and even plate-verbs. At medium and long settings, the repeats become darker, naturally trailing into a beautiful warmth and character not found in any other delay pedal. Connect an expression pedal and dynamically control feedback swells, or switch to delay time to create chorus/flange and tape delay effects. The MF Delay was designed with over 300 carefully selected components including 4 Bucket Brigade Delay chips, a discrete JFET input stage, and a vintage compander circuit for superior tone and feel. CONTROLS TIME-Adjustable from 35mS - 700mS. At shorter settings, delay repeats are brighter and more articulate - perfect for slap-back and plate-style reverb/delay. As you increase the Time, the delay trails become warmer causing sounds to move and decay naturally under each new note or chord. FEEDBACK-Adjustable from a single repeat with no decay, to extended trails that dissipate into a reverb-like state. When pushed past 2 o’clock feedback trails swell into infinity. This is an excellent creative tool for making sonic beds and trails where notes decay into a wash of musical noise. Pushed to maximum, the MF Delay will self oscillate. MIX-Allows you to determine the blend between dry and effected signals. At minimum, delay trails are nearly inaudible. This is useful for ghost delays and creating natural room-verb sounds. At maximum, your dry signal is removed completely, which allows the MF Delay to work perfectly in an amplifier effects loop. DRIVE- A pre-delay circuit that provides greater than 22dB of gain to both input and delayed signal. At low ranges it is excellent for creating subtle boost and mild tonal coloration. At middle position the sound becomes more mid-forward and punchy. At itsmaximum position, you have an incredibly natural boost/overdrive in your delay pedal that is great by itself or paired with an MF Drive. EXPRESSION PEDAL INPUT: When assigned to Time, this input allows you to create everything from chorus/flange effects and tape delay to monstrous pitch shifting. When assigned to Feedback, this input allows you to swell in and out of infinite feedback loops and subtle delay trails. True Bypass 700ms of Bucket Brigade based analog delay 22dB of classic drive for boost and color Feedback range from zero to infinite Expression pedal input provides control of Time or Feedback Mix control allows dry signal to be completely eliminated Over 300 carefully selected components Vintage compander circuit. Designed to perform with any Guitar, Amp, or Bass guitar configuration
  16. Looking to move this on as it's been my back up/home amp, but just changed my home set up so letting it go. Great power and versatility. Amazing amount of punch, runs down to 2 ohms and can deliver 1200 watts of either crystal clear, or high gain bass (when using the drive channel). Fender tone stack, some really nice room eq adjustment and valve in the pre. Front to back ventilation, very reliable, never missed a beat. Comes in a 2u rack. Happy to provide more pics. This is about as good a bass amp you can get and silly money really for the spec. Edit: just found the footswitch. +£15 for inclusion. Cheers ✌️
  17. Barely used ESP AP-5 bass guitar for sale. Amazing spec bass for its price point. In need of a set up, but only really used for home practice and the odd rehearsal. Smooth neck, nice range of tones and really well built. Comes with strap locks, but no case. Drops me a line with any questions. Happy to discuss price. Collection only. Happy to supply more pics etc. Thanks SPECIFICATIONS CONSTRUCTION Bolt-On SCALE 34" BODY Alder NECK Maple FINGERBOARD Ebony FINGERBOARD RADIUS 400mm FINISHBLACKNUT WIDTH 45mm NUT TYPE Molded NECK CONTOUR Thin UFRETS/TYPE21 XJHARDWARE COLOR Black STRAP BUTTON Standard TUNERS Grover BRIDGE BABICZ FCH-5 NECK PU EMG P5 BRIDGE PU EMG LJ5 ELECTRONICS Active ELECTRONICS LAYOUT Volume/Balance/Tone
  18. Hi, selling this as I've just picked up something that floats my boat a bit more. This is really nice sounding and blends your clean and the wah. Internal trim pot to adjust the aggressiveness of the wah. Automatically engages when you rock the pedal and disengages as you release, making it really easy to use live. The rubber tread on this slipped during the summer but it's been remounted. It may need a little attention/ heavier duty glue. Pedal is boxed and otherwise in great condition. Looking for £85 posted.
  19. Hi, No longer in use as I've changed my compressor. Looking for £45 posted. Nice little compressor, seem to be a few changing hands in here regularly. Massive bang for buck and I believe it's multi band. I've never got into the app on it so not unlocked it's full potential. Pedal only. Thanks
  20. There's a good "that pedal show" YouTube vid on pedal order if you fancy delving in (it is guitar based though). I think it was this one: Just to add to the above, placement of your boost depends how you want to manage your gain staging and will have a bit of a difference running pre or post dirt. I've preferred boost after dirt historically so my dirt sound gets louder rather than boosting the gain on my dirts. I typically run compression early to smooth my playing, and I understand that putting it after dirt can cancel a bit of dirt to a degree. Ovnilab is a good resource about compressor placement if you fancy a read. http://www.ovnilab.com/faq.shtml
  21. @stewblack nice video, thank you. Really enlightening. I'm probably going to give one a whirl on that basis! Much appreciated
  22. That'd be great if it's not too much trouble stew, that's a very kind offer.
  23. Thanks @DiMarco - I have the Two Notes CabM and have considered the LeBass previously. Might just go for a separate thread. Appreciate the insight
