1. I would so very much like to buy this, on account of being born in '93. Ah well, some other time
2. Hi, you are correct, it uses usb 1.1. Though I've never had any trouble with latency when using up to date drivers! No, I'm afraid Cubase isn't included with it, however it works perfectly with free programs like audacity and garageband.
3. It sends the stereo mix Fine for recording band rehearsals, bass covers etc. I've upgraded to a motu 828 to give me that multitrack functionality. Not going to pick one up for £75 however! It's also very handy at band rehearsals, small format mixer, straight into the pa, and recording into the computer.
4. For sale is an 'Alesis Multimix 8 USB' 8 channel mixing desk with computer output and 100 built in effects! Features: - 4 Mic/line inputs - 4 Line inputs - 100 Built in effects - Phantom Power on all 4 mic inputs - USB output for recording, unit is plug and play, no additional software is required! - 2 Aux channels - Tape input and output - 3 Band EQ per channel - Separate Main/Monitor/Headphone outs. Website here: Alesis The unit comes in original box with power supply and usb cable. Note: There is an intermittent fault with the mic input on channel one. Sometimes the gain appears to be extremely low. I have not attempted to fix this as I have upgraded to a new interface. The line input on this channel still works perfectly however! Item is in mint condition aside from that, no crackly knobs and the like. Price is £75, not bad when they still sell for £120 new. Please PM me with offers/questions/exciting recipes etc...
5. Stop posting all these amazing preamps dammit! In all seriousness though, great guy to deal with, seems to have had a lot of practice selling preamps
6. Bought a Motu 828 mk1 Firewire audio interface off Chris. He was a model seller, extremely communicative and fast responding, and politely bore with me when I took an unfortunate amount of time to send him the money. Item arrived on time in as described condition. What more can you ask for
7.
A little mackie would be perfect You'd be lookign for 3 stereo channels though, and a couple of monos, or 8 monos (you can figure out panning for yourself I'm sure). Somthing like this (clicky linky) Even has USB in from the 'puter - which is handy!
That USB link... Does it just send the stereo mix or all of the tracks?
8. I'm using a yamaha pb1 preamp (from the 70s or 80s or something) Into a QSC RMX 850. 800 watts bridged at 4 ohms or 600 watts at 8 ohms. I use it into a GK Neo 212. The lightness of the cab makes up for the weight of the qsc. It takes up much less space than my old rig as well as being much louder. And the sound is sublime.
9. Bought one of the cabs off him, really communicative, arrived on time in original packaging perfectly as described
10. Bought a pre amp and power amp as well as a rack case from Grahame. Great guy to deal with, extremely communicative, happy to answer all questions and to give his own honest opinions about the gear. Made the transaction far better than many others, Cheers again, Craig
11.
When I was 16 all my gear was coming from you and Mikeh, so +1!
I'm 17, and my gear consists of various items by Gallien Krueger, QSC and Yamaha (amp-wise)... However, I didn't just start playing bass... Others however...
12. Why one of each? The 410 goes really quite deep and, with the right eq, is a hugely powerful bassy cab. Alternatively, the 115 is meant to be a bit flabby and weak, not the tight or focused lows you would look for when biamping? IMO. Also, it takes half the power of the 410...
13.
I`ve had both. Used each seperately, and both together, and the results: 410 on its own - good lows, good highs, plenty of power for most venues up to abt 400 capacity. Switching off the tweeter really makes the cab sound like an old school cab. With the tweeter on a lot more definition to the sound 410 & 115 together - more power than I needed. Was on a big stage, DI through the pa, and wherever I was the bass presence was there. 1000+ capacity venue. 115 on its own - the presence was there, the bass could definately be felt, but there was no real clarity on the top end, so the bass couldn`t really be heard. 100 capacity venue at most. Altogether, unless you are playing huge venues, in my opinion the 410 on its own is more than enough. I did many gigs with just the 410 and never had a problem with lack of volume or presence. Of course, this will depend on your bass and your amp.
+1 Oh, a lot of people think the 115 is pretty poor compared to the 410. Maybe... 2 410s?
