Became the owner of this beautiful Harley Benton mp4-eb in Creme colour today. Changed the strings to my preference of Rotosound Roundwounds and lowered the pickups slightly as they were to hot for my liking but apart from that she turned up in great form. Very easy to play and glide around the fretboard.

Having done some research into a Rumble 100 v3 I keep reading folk saying it's not the greatest for gigging. I'm aiming to play functions, wedding venues etc with the rumble but need some input from fellow users of said amp before I take the plunge on it

Worst Live Act (Pushing it a bit too far)
FretsOnFire replied to theplumber's topic in General Discussion
Dragonforce at Southend Cliffs Pavillion about 13 years ago. Tiny crowd which only just made up about 4 rows and a band going through the motions living off through the fire and flames -
I'm right on the edge of hitting the purchase button on the creme me4 but looking at the 4mn is there much difference? Same pickup config just different wood is all I can see so it should sound the same right? https://www.thomann.co.uk/compare.html?art[]=443474&art[]=443467

On the hunt for a work horse p bass under £130
FretsOnFire replied to FretsOnFire's topic in Bass Guitars
The budget has increased to the £300 point so any recommendations on p basses greatly appreciated -
I've been looking at the MJ-4EB aswell which only adds to the frustration on which is the one to go for 😂😁

What's the overall opinion on the Squier Classic Vibe 60s Precision Bass? Looking at getting myself one in the very near future and it's a toss up between this and the Harley Benton MP-4EB. I currently own and play an Ibanez SR300EB and a Harley Benton PJ-4 HTR Will the Squier be an upgrade?

As the title suggests I'm on the hunt for a work horse of a p bass for under £130 for my nephew who's an intermediate player Any suggestions from the good people of basschat?

Many thanks for the replies I will continue to keep an eye on local listings for a deal. I've been very tempted about asking my brother in law if he's up for a trip to Bradford to pick up a Fender Rumble (He originates from Hull so could make a weekend of it) 😂😂 Out of interest if you were to recommend something brand new at the same price point what would it be? Many thanks again Dave

A combo amp would be preferable

It's a bit to big unfortunately as I've not much room in my flat

I've currently got a line 6 ld15 amp and I'm looking to upgrade. I've got a budget of £230 and want the best bang for my buck. I will be using it for spare room practice, studio jamming and small venue gigging. Let's hear some recommendations please

Does anyone know of a cheap Drop Tuning pedal? The one I keep finding is the red one which is 100 or more in most places

My first build so go lightly please 🤣

Have to admit that since finding the ability to download custom DLC for Rocksmith some two or so years ago I've raked up an obscene amount of hours playing. And dare I say it but it's actually improved my playing ability over time Any other basschat members play?

Elton John - Step into Christmas More of a challenge than I'd expected but I'm improving all the time with it

I've noticed that when I play I very rarely if ever can get through songs (covers) with 100% of the notes hit. I seem to be unable to play a song without the odd mistake (not that anybody but me would notice unless you played the song yourself) I've read that even the pros have this issue but it's still in the back of my mind that I've made the mistake and I'm sure I'm not the only one here with the issue. My question is.... How the heck do you get along with this problem? 😬😁

My local music venue so it's nice to see it get such positive comments here

I need Christmas present ideas for bass players under £50 so thought I'd start a topic for folk to share said ideas. Shoot 🤠🤠🤠
