  1. Tbh I think I’ll just use two different PSUs and an extension lead - cheaper than a new supply 😃
  2. Cheers - that’s the Stomp rather than Effects and I’ve convinced myself I read somewhere that the Stomp is less power hungry 😅 This thread suggests I need 2A for start up…: https://line6.com/support/topic/37195-hx-effects-what-is-the-maximum-power-draw/ edit- more useful info from Line6 for anyone who’s interested: https://line6.com/support/topic/32249-helix-hx-power-supply-woes/
  3. The manual is stinky poo 😂 The Effects is labelled up as 3A and I’ve googled it and come up with various different answers but most of which suggest needing 2A, and some which suggest the Stomp is less power hungry. All a bit confusing hence asking 🙂 Thanks for your help - certainly making me think there is light at the end of the tunnel! Might phone Andertons tomorrow and see what they reckon…
  4. Nice one cheers - so two 660mA sockets are doing the job for you then? Good to know - don’t want to fry a PSU haha
  5. Interesting - the specs for that seem to state a max 660mA supply per socket… yet Line 6 say the HX Effects needs a 3A supply… I take it you’ve never had a problem? EDIT - or do you use a current doubler or something across two or more outputs?
  6. Hey all, New HX Effects owner here, having great fun with it! Question though - how are you all powering yours? I note is has a thirsty current consumption and most staked multi-PSUs don’t get close. I was hoping to power this (min 2A) and my G30 (150mA absolute max) from one supply - tried daisy chaining from the one supplied with the HX but it’s hella noisy… any other ideas or do I need to suck it up that I’ll need two PSUs?
  7. Not too bad. Certainly a lot better than the TGI bag @dmc79has. Will get a pic a bit later
  8. PS - I have the Gator gigbag designed for a Jazzmaster and it’s perfect for both my shorties
  9. Oooft. My ideal MM shortie. Whoever gets this will be on my hit list 😃
  10. Absolutely agree in terms of the massive supermarkets, oil companies etc. The petrol prices beggar belief for example. I suspect Barefaced just wouldn’t have been able to survive without these price increases though; more a labour of love than a way to a quick million.
  11. They weren’t the first and won’t be the last to do this. It’s sadly the current state of the world. They are still (imo) fantastic cabs and worth the money if you can afford them. If you can’t afford them or don’t think they’re fantastic, the price rise doesn’t matter
  12. If you like the 15” NEO, get another one.
  13. Bought an HX Effects from Christian, lovely guy who drove to meet me halfway and insisted on me checking the box had everything in it (clue: it did!). Great guy to deal with
  14. Yesterday’s rig. Bloody marvellous. I’ve been having valve amp pangs recently but using this over the course of 4 sets yesterday reminded me that I have much, much better gear than my talent deserves, and really don’t need glowing glass tubes.
  15. AFAICS the main differences are: 750W power amp Dual VU meters ”Temperature controlled low noise” fan cooling Transformer balanced DI Er, that’s it.
  16. I suspect so! Be interesting to see what else is on there, and how much it is given the Evo V is … a lot!
  17. Nope, that is something else I think. I’m not sure I’m supposed to know so Just don’t Mention I said anything…. Maybe pretend I was in a Theatre of Dreams making this up 🤓
  18. A signature amp for someone.
  19. This to me is the equivalent of calling “shotgun” when getting into a car. I now call dibs on @Bunion’s amp 😁😅
