1. Read, then buy.....
2. An ABM EVO II thru two SCs sounds immense. I wouldn't change
3. WT550 still my favourite solid state amp ever. Superb head.
4.
Get hold of one of the older Barefaced Vintage 2x15s if you can, they are nice and wide, and sound excellent! I think yours is the super15, so the vintage is wider -
That photo is pure filth! Liking the sound of the Six10 more and more, the Vintage was a superb cab.
5. I've come to my senses so these are withdrawn. Sorry everyone, especially Spoonman!
6. I'd believe ye website as it's very recently updated. My wait was about two months but that was way back at the end of 2013. Super Compacts are (IMO) the best bass cab I've ever used. I know others don't like them but for me they are exceptional. Enjoy
7. Pics please, got a friend who's interested! Thanks
8. Weekend warrior, not anywhere near the level I'd like to be after 20 years of playing but that's down to laziness and not practicing as much as I should. Trying to put that right this year
9. I'd like to add Furyon to the list but I can't. Their first album is cracking but their second is turgid MOR bollocks (IMHO ) The first album is full of swagger, gear changes mid song, awesome playing and arranging. The second just doesn't have the same balls and feels formulaic by comparison. Two new guitarists you see, makes all the difference. So check out Gravitas by Furyon but avoid the other one (forgotten its name already it's that good haha)
10. Oh, PS: http://instagram.com/p/z7tWWmqN3R/ Just after I did the "omigodiloveyourplayingonStainsomuch" burble
11.
Thank you guys! Next time I want to meet up with you all properly, as opposed to taking photos of your back etc.!
There's slightly more hair on my face I missed everyone simply because every time I went to the BassGear stand it was crowded and I couldn't see any BCers I recognised! Spent most of my time with Alan (Skelf) and Ashdown
12. Nice blog, and you got the back of my balding head in your very first pic
13.
Any local (Brighton) bands want to borrow a pair?
Yes. Not quite Brighton but close enough! Email me
14. Interesting! I've voted apparently the same as many others but I will be interested to see the real cabs
15. An Ashdown Mi10 cab, like the one through which you tried the CTM100, could be found for less than that I'm sure You should contact Ashdown and ask
16. Sad week for bass fans RIP Andy
17. Very nice, almost got myself one last year. Not a lot of info out there but pop David or Lee at Ashdown a quick email and they will prob be able to help Oh and with a 4x10 you'll be fine!
18. That takes me back, my first amp was one of these!
19.
Tsk. It is spelled 'amflipication', as any fule kno.
Haha Reminds me of all the people selling Trace Elliott amps. Big green logo, one T in Elliot. Gah
20. I liked it
21. http://www.richtonemusic.co.uk/products/trace_elliot_multistack_15_inch_wedge_2nd_hand-yundefined21357.asp Like buses....
22.
Most importantly, got to speak properly with the Ashdown boys about all their new kit and was very glad I did so!
Ditto
