  1. I tried to commission a HW last year. Initial communications were fine, agreed most of the specs than when I tried to confirm and pay a deposit, he just blanked me. Won't answer any of my messages. Peculiar.
  2. Congratulations. I know that feeling too. My daughter didn't pick up the bass until 19, so a bit of a late starter but she did her first gig only six months later.
  3. Yep. That's a Chickenbacker. Bridge, pickup surround and the shape of the 'toaster' gives it away. That's just on first glance.
  4. Maybe he wasn't a songwriter and earns no publishing royalties. Or he could have been a non-partner, just a waged employee.
  5. Hipshot Kickass 4 replacement bridge in chrome. Fitted to my jazz bass and played around the house for a couple of days before removing, so still in near mint condition, perhaps a few fingermarks which will wipe off. Original packaging with screws and and spares kit complete. Really fancied a high mass on the jazz but didn't like the boost it seemed to give to the mids, preferred the mellower sound of the original BBOT so took it off after a couple of days.
  6. Tubeampology Deluxe Treble Bezel for Rickenbacker 4003. Black. Brand new and unused. This is the version with the raised thumb rest and the scooped sides to fit the current 4003 bridge pickup surround. Bought brand new when I was in the US recently and selling because I should have bought the one with the straight sides as mine is an older Rick. What a buffoon. Cost me $39 (currently just short of £30) plus shipping. Looking for £20 and I will post for free within the UK.
  7. Schaller now providing replacement RIC machineheads to buy direct. Good luck finding gold or black bridges or pickup surrounds to match though... https://schaller.info/en/bm-rickenbacker-style/1029
  8. Its a new surround/bezel rather than a pickup. The bridge cover that Ricophobics are so critical of (despite the fact that its simple to remove) is now history.
  9. Is that one of the Fab Gear specials on the right?
  10. The electric bassist in the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Proms 'Sound Of Disco' night at the Albert Hall was playing a Squier Precision.
  11. Thank you. Very kind.
  12. Yep. Still looking too...no luck yet.
  13. Something like that. Hence the shoes in the lighting rig. Some footwear to look up at instead of down. Which doesn't describe Swervedriver at all.
  14. I once tied a pair of Converse trainers to the lighting rig at a Swervedriver gig in protest at that term. As far as I know only one person understood the action. The rest either didn't notice or didn't get the joke.
  15. Unfortunately not. You trim that down to the control section and its only 230 pixels wide, which is way too small. Thank you though.
  16. Yeah, apologies. I figured I'd explain when someone had one but maybe its putting folks off. I just need a good quality photo of the control section. I used a pic of one in an old graphics project which I now want to recreate. However my original pic (which I took on a state-of-the-art digital camera in 2004) is too small and low resolution to be of any use these days. I've tried loads of image searches but haven't found a pic of good enough quality. I don't have the pedal anymore so was wondering if someone could recreate the photo for me. Even a mobile phone pic would be fine, the cameras in those are considerably more advanced than a 2004 digi snapper.
  17. Bump. Anyone?
  18. I thought that was the whole idea of RSD?
  19. I've only ever wanted three RSD releases (Killing Joke's Absolute Dissent remaster, Screaming Trees Live At Egg Studios and Helmet's Betty) and all of them were US only, despite been on the lists of RSD exclusives that were widely distributed by shops in the UK.
  20. Thank you but I just need a photo of one part of it.
