1. Bluejay, there is nothing like playing for a band, you should just go for it The Heartbeats : www.facebook.com/pages/The-Heartbeats/168512946607256 Volare Trio : www.facebook.com/pages/Volare-TRIO/191193387654362?v=info www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDHMxMBYq7M or Raqsonic : www.raqsonic.com/ jeff
2. Thank you Blujay for such a detailed response. I think i will have to give this a go. I was coming to the South East bash until i heard of the M25 problems. It would be really good to meet up with some of the people from this site if the opportunity was there. PS who do you play electric upright for? jeff
3. Never been to the show. How good is it? What sort of thing goes on? The website does not seem to say much yet jeff
4. Rhinos Winos and Lunatics sounds interesting. Look forward to the review of Way Down jeff
5. Checked out others on the site and £150 seems a more realistic price
6. 120 watts aluminium cone. Excellent condition. These are usually £399 new. This will be buyer collect or meet somewhere in the south east. Great amp for small gigs.
7. What pedals are you looking for? I have some ebs ones that I may trade. Microbass and reverb.
8. Just buy a new one! Taking account performance linked with weight / size and cost it's the best amp i have ever purchased. Maybe BC should seek sponsorship from EBS after all the good comments on here
9. £50 spare so decided to order one. Did try just with some foam underneath the cabs and found this to be a big improvement in places where the bass used to boom. No idea if this is going to be a good buy, but having read all the reviews / comments thought it was time to give it a go.
10. It's taken me 35 years to come to terms with the fact that Fenders are really the only basses for me. J or P depending on my mood and the gig but always one of them. I tried so hard to like Musicman stingrays, Rickenbackers, etc etc. Wanted to not be like so many bass players and use Fenders. In the end i came to realise that the sound of any decent fender bass can be made right for the gig you are doing, but the less extreme tone options becomes the sound that nearly everyone recognises and loves from their cd / record collections. In the end we play for an audience to listen and we all want them to enjoy or at least notice the bass. My advice is try some out, buy one and wait 30 odd years to realise that it is the only one you are using.
11. massive relief that slapping seems to be out of favour. Not sure i could stand an event where everyone was going slap happy. Just think of all the truly great bass players who never did any slapping in their whole career!
12. I think I will go to this.sounds like really good fun
13. i've never been to one of these. Do you just turn up on the day and make donations or do you need to book? Not sure that i have anything worth bringing along but would like to come jeff
14. Can you pm me with a price for the 112. May have to be delivery as I'm in Kent. Is there a cover or case?

16. It is metallic. The closet I have found is sage green, the trouble is that there are posts on talk bass saying that sage green was never a MIA colour. Does anyone know if sage green was ever used by USA?
