3.
Chris, Another bass?! Knowing a little of your taste in basses, how about Roscoe, Ken Smith, Bossa and Overwater ? I think you should also try a Sadowsky M5, quite different from Gwilym's Jazz-inspired one you played recently. Of course, once your MTD lands, you may just want another!
I like the look of the roscoe bass guitars. I really enjoyed Gwilym's sadowsky , how does the M5 differ ?

 10.
Hi Chris, +1 for the Dingwall to try (it's on my list to try myself) but also worth trying a Musicman 25th Anniversary in either HH or HSS configurations. Happy hunting :-)
I thought about looking at the 25th anniversary stingray 5 too. I also have thought about the dingwall 5 strings as I love alot of Phill Collins songs which feature Lee Sklar playing a very expensive 5 string Dingwall

 16. What tone are you after? What music do you play?
 17. I also own an electro acoustic guitar. I like the rhythms that seem to work when playing acoustic.
 18. All joking aside , I would defiantly recommend going to the best bass shop you you can find and playing ALL the five string bass guitars that are hanging on the wall. It is the only way to find out what you do and don't like.
 19.
The Jazz needs Cream blocks and binding, but otherwise AMAZING.
Agreed . About time Fender

 22. I vote for SR5. I love the look of the reflex but I wonder if all the controls are a bit over the top. I have never played one yet. I have owned a USA deluxe jazz 5 and I was disappointed with the B string. Could just my bass though.
