  1. I will likely not be attending anymore due to joining a band and they are shooting a music video the night of the 11th into the early morning of the 12th. i'll leave myself in the list and update the morning of if I can attend or not. A real shame as I was very much excited to meet you all and play your basses poorly haha
  2. ooooooo its gotta be the Hamer as if i was to buy one, it would be a Hamer haha Thanks for getting back to me on that, looking forward to giving it a crack haha
  3. When I first got my Cali I goooosed the output and there was so much gain running into my distortion pedals it was a real feedback fun fest. This is embarrassing but I shipped it back to Origin saying it was broken and he got it back and said bro this thing is fine you just have no idea what your doing ahaha. After learning how to use it and unity gain I was good to go, but worth noting its a gainy boy. Mine is one of the original big box ones tho so might be different will the smaller unit.
  4. More Townsend then Entwhistle i'd say
  5. Apologises it was late when I posted that and probabllyyyy wasnt really focusing haha Yes I did indeed jump on it, throw it down a set of stairs and these actions split the body in half. It was at a show and we arrived to SUPER late straight from work, and I hadnt restrung my bass, so we did it right before we went on in the carpark in the rain (another stupid idea but is what it is). The guitarist in my band at the time, was in charge of putting on the new strings while I took the old ones off. When he cut the B-string he cut it to short, so I got on stage, hit the opening note and the string fell off. So I quickly muted my gig and strung it back up in about 30-40 second and was in before the end of the song. Second song same thing, 30 seconds back in, by the third song I completely lost it and just threw the bass on the floor and jumped on it then threw it down some stairs and walked off. A moment of frustration for sure. Worth noting as well this was a metal show with everyone jumping around like crazy and wasnt uncommon to see instruments flying all over the place, I wasnt playing a wedding or anything like that.
  6. Here is a photo of me playing my long suffering Ibanez BTB775PB with the olde sweat in the eye live shot This was primary bass for 100's of shows until I jumped on it (and it threw down some stairs) when he top string fell off mid show and split it in half on the body. It sat in my loft in pieces for years until earlier this year my tech put it all back together for me and has returned to being my main drop B axe. Can't kill an Ibby 🤘
  7. oooooooo yh id love to give it a go if you can bring it along, cant wait to play it badly with a audience haha
  8. Gotta be a wah in the intro to right? or some kinda expression pedal used to control the envelope if not, one my fav sounds ever so glad to see it asked in here !
  9. I had a Ampeg SVT Pro 3 and i loved it, and definitely not gutless, arguably my fav live bass tone I had for the sound I was after at the time little boost before it and it was offfff proper chunky and warm as what you want from an Ampeg. Would own one again in a heart beat if I had the space/cash.
  10. I don't know if we can make requests, but anyone who is coming or thinking of coming that has either a 8 or 12 string bass, im DIEING to try one out/make sure it wont break my back haha

  13. Amazing! Thanks for remembering and trying that out alllll this time later and glad its a fix if you are in a pinch with newer flats!
  14. This was the point I was going to make, you can get away with it more on guitar but on bass it really does muddy up fast, a tone down is the LIMIT id say from experience. I also used it in a metal context and its just a bittttt saggy (cant think of a better word then that right now) for me. Guitar players defo have the edge on that tech at the moment but just my two cents, hope it works out!
  15. What tuning are you starting in and wanting to get to?
  16. I had the exact same advert on mine and instantly sent to a friend, who had the same ad but instead of a 5 pack of vinegar it was sanitary towels and the chorus..... insane
  17. I've had the big OG Cali76 for about 10 years and it still crushes everything and i'll never need another, they can be pretty pricey now (if you look at The Bass Gallery there was one for £1,400 insane money!) but Bass Bros have one for around £600 which I think for a compressor you never have to replace, its a solid bet. Failing that the Keeley Pro also looks sweet, and even cheaper the MXR M87 I had before the Cali was bulletproof and sounded great! Hope you find the right one for you
  18. I believe they are in his Pachyderm basses but unable to find a photo of one with the goldies but they look like this, already loaded with an EMG P
  19. that they do my dude, that they do
  20. Basstheworld demo of the Florence, some great tones in this one!
