  1. Not now … bass - lead - amp - cab 👍
  2. Ampeg SVT212AV Amazing cab for single use Apart from being a tad heavy it’s one of the best cabs I’ve used Best cab was Ampeg 610 but way too heavy
  3. Very nice
  4. Nothing wrong with the Ampeg Opto Compressor, in fact it’s great but .. I like the idea of nothing between bass lead and amp for the purest signal hitting the amp. Ive now ditched the Line 6 G30 wireless too
  5. Update .. decided to go totally back to guitar lead straight to amp Line 6 up for sale on eBay as is my Compressor TU3 sold
  6. I’m seriously thinking if I really need to use an outboard compressor pedal and my Boss TU3 I am liking the fact it keeps my signal in check on my ABM600 but perhaps if I turn down the input slightly I can ignore the use of a compressor ( acting more as a limiter ) and as I tune up typically twice per session with the band ditch the tuner and use a clip on when not playing ( start of set ) I would still use my Line 6 G30 wireless which I really. Just a thought do I really need the compressor at all ? I never slap and play finger style for mostly rock
  7. Sounds a good deal
  8. At least if you buy new ( Squire ) you have a warranty I’m just upgrading the bridge on mine to the Fender Hi mass bridge which I have on my Player Series. The bridge is fine on the Squire but I like the style of the HiMass
  9. Could be but some of the older Mex basses were average and no better than Squire. The advantage I guess is it has Fender on the headstock. Make sure it’s genuine by checking serial number as there are many fakes around
  10. These are great cabs and sound amazing This is a bargain folks
  11. I never liked the restriction in having to use their straps I’m sure they do a great job but I have some nice Levy’s leather straps I want to use
  12. Ok tried the Dunlop Strap locks and I didn’t care for them so … Put the Fender rubber washers on again, simple but it just works
  13. I would avoid the Affinity
  14. Rock = PBass pure and simple !!
  15. I like the simplicity of a PBass Easy to get a good tone and if you play rock or punk etc it’s a perfect sound straight off
  16. My Sterling Stingray Sub had a shocking neck / fingerboard joint Glad it’s gone as I couldn’t gel with the skinny neck
  17. Used it for band practice last night Excellent bass Sounds as good as my Player Series and was set up very well out of the box. I can recommend it for anyone looking
  18. After a few delivery mishaps I’ve now got this for my backup Great bass for just over £300
  19. I nearly purchased the Kiloton as my backup bass but in the end chose the Classic Vibe 70’s PBass in black Nicely set up and very decent PBass for £339
  20. Great basses
  21. I think I read Fender had blocks in 1973 but it may of been on the Jazz ?
  22. I know what you mean as not my first choice but the rest of the bass makes up for it !
  23. Arrived today after a saga of sending two Classic Vibe 60’s back. The 70’s Vibe is a very nice bass indeed. After a quick tune up I was amazed how well the setup was. Neck bow action and intonation all good. Looks nice in black and the neck is very playable. For my back up bass it’s very good indeed
  24. Ok folks better news .. The replacement arrived and it’s very nice, in fact nicer than the 60’s vibe Plays very well out of the box and needs very little adjustment. Thing to note .. This came boxed with so much more protection ( the Squire box ) so I think that’s why the 60’s vibe were turning up marked etc. Further reports later but some images below for now
