  1. Ok tried my ABM600 on the Fender Rumble 115 cab Different sound to my Neo Ashdown cabs. Is it better ? Difficult to say in a home test but it sounded a decent cab Will try and rehearsal on Tuesday and see if one will keep up with band and add a second if it does
  2. Thank you for comparing I did consider changing to the ported Ashdown ABM115H but it’s a heavier cab. My Fender should be here today to try and compare

  4. Thank you my input gain is around 12 o clock and master around 9 to 10 o clock I run the EQ nearly flat and a treble boost with 340hz pulled down a bit and shape button pushed in Thus is playing PBass with fingers

Hey folks I’m about to try the 115 v3 cab from Fender and I’m curious if people found them ok Im returning to ported cabs after buying new Ashdown ABM Pro Neo sealed cabs ( now up for sale on here ) Will use my Ashdown abm600 head and run a stack of two 115 cabs Not high end I know but price and weight are good for gigging
  6. I’m going to try the Fender Rumble v3 115 and use two stacked if they work out The Rumble cabs seem to get decent reviews and they are sensible prices and I want to try a ported cab too Getting one to try and add a second if I like what I hear
  7. Mine are now up for sale on here as new with covers Can be shipped as I have original boxes I’m going back to 15” speakers They are great compact cabs and very light.

Ashdown ABM210H Pro Neo 8ohm 300w bass cab and Roqsolid Cover which cost £50.00 As new condition with original box so can be shipped to U.K. address at cost Very light cab so one handed carry Purchased in 2021 however I’ve decided to use a single 4ohm cab instead I originally had two of these but one has already been sold on here.

  14. I ran my RM800 with both cabs .. you just keep the max volume in check
  15. I had an Ampeg PF115LF cab ( planned to add a second) but although they sounded good they were heavy boxes ! Sold it and purchased the ABM 210 Pro Neo cabs .. so light in comparison I need both my cabs to fill the room in small to medium venues as our PA is for vocals only. I do wish they were a little larger and rated higher ( 500W ) Still wonder about would the ported ABM series sound better ?
  16. That’s a good point .. we mostly stand near our rig or a few feet away I think our ears pick up the mids mostly as shorter wave length compared to low bass frequencies When you walk further away 27ft or more you hear the full bass sound and it’s often a lot deeper
  17. Be interested to know how they compare to 210 cabs ? They have in theory more speaker surface area so may be “louder” than the 210 variant
  18. Yep I do the same .. pull back the 340hz slider as it improves the sound no end

I use the Line 6 G30 system with a strap pack Levy’s pouch for the transmitter Excellent and for around £130 a really decent setup I did think they were a bit unnecessary until a practice a while back I tripped and pulled my guitar lead out of my pedal board ! That was all the confirmation I needed to stay using wireless Another good think about the G30 is you will never have a battery recharge life failure as the receiver is powered and the transmitter is replaceable AA batteries that you get about 8hrs use per set of batteries. I’m now using Eneloop rechargeable to make it even more convenient. Some of the dongle style are only as good as the sealed battery life span G30 has a terrible battery clip but in the Levy’s pouch it’s a perfect solution and the tone is as good as a decent lead

Thought I would resurrect this old thread as I own and use two ABM210H Pro Neo cabs with my ABM600 Rehearsals ( mostly loud rock ) I use both cabs stacked and due to the design ( diagonal speakers ) they make a tall rig ( probably a 610 cab height ) Are they good, yes I believe they are but you need to get the EQ right to really make them sing. Probably don’t have the very low bass sound of a ported cab as they are sealed but they do have a decent amount of low end and mid punch. 300w rated but could they handle that power it’s hard to tell. Weight and carry is amazing as they are so light. You can carry both cabs together ( one in each hand ) They are a small sized cab ( personally a bit wider would of been perfect ) but they make a neat stack. Im sure you can find high end cabs that would be better but for the money and how they perform I think Ashdown got it right. As an experiment I got an older U.K. Klyston 115 cab to compare them ( ported cab ) and the ABM210H sounded better as was more articulate and better punch. The Klyston I know was a 15” so not a fair comparison but it just sounded flubby in comparison!
  21. Now the ABM EVO IV series has plenty of EQ adjustment The RM series has sufficient and they sound very similar with very minor differences such as Tube drive on the ABM Both are excellent amps

  23. My ABM600 was sat on my two ABM210 Pro Neo cabs Tuesday at rehearsals and it was very good However ( might be due to sealed cabs ) ??? I made a playing change … I’ve reverted to finger playing instead of pick as I had lost the bottom end in the band. Playing mostly heavy to light rock I need the fullness and punch But the height of the stacked cabs results in hearing what’s going on well
  24. I’m sure like most or many of my fellow BassChatters we are chasing that best tone / sound when playing in venues or even rehearsals in various locations. I wonder how many times we have thought 1: My cab / cabs are just not right 2: My amp isn’t for me 3: My bass guitar sucks 4: My strings need changing 5: FX pedals etc etc and so on 6: Fingers or Pick But how about the influences of the room you are playing or rehearsing in ( this includes village halls etc etc ) Has anyone been chasing this tone goal only to discover it’s not the gear it’s the room and it’s surroundings ? I even find playing at home a challenge as vibrations etc happen in the home and you wonder is it my cab !! Be interested in peoples thoughts and experiences
  25. That’s good to hear, I’m happy to stick with them if the difference isn’t much to really notice live. The weight as you say is a huge advantage
