1. No. I've never actually been to that part of the country now you come to mention it.
2. two completely different instrumental tracks: Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy by Return to Forever Fela's Cock by the Chilis
3. I've got my heart set on a headless bass, most likely something cheap like a Washburn or a Hohner Jack. There's one song in particular that requires the E to go down to D. Normally that's just a turn of the tuner and I'm good to go but having never ever had my hands on a headless bass before, how quickly can that be done on a headless? Ideally I would like one with one of those detuning bridge thingies with the lever but in case I can't get one i thought I'd ask the question
4. I think there's still a silver one for sale here for £150. Have a look, I think its still available
5. I'm looking for a headless bass, preferrably a Washburn Status but may consider others as long as they are the full size body and not cricket bat type.
6. I've not long had this as it was meant to be used for the project I was working on involving using all kinds of MIDI gubbins and synths but its not happening so I don't need it any more. Its a 6 string, active 2 band EQ, bolt-on neck and gold hardware. The output jack wasn't 100% so I've replaced it with a Neutrik one and its all tickety boo. Considering I play a Thunderbird with a neck like a pencil, the string spacing and neck dimensions on this are pretty good. Its quite narrow but still very playable. probably more along the lines of an Ibanez SR1016 I used to have as opposed to the ironing board Yamaha TRB6 I used to have. There's a wee bit of neck dive but I've yet to play a 6er that doesn't have it a bit of it but a good neoprene or suede strap takes care of the worst of it. It will come in a decent gig bag and £135 gets it delivered to your door for mainland UK. It will probably be a bit more for Ireland, Europe etc. Photbucket is being a pain - despite making sure that they were the right way up before uploading them, they appeared the wrong way up on Photobucket so I rotated them again only to find out that when I link to them they're still all over the place.
7. I don't like Fenders and I don't like sunburst finishes so why do I love this bass so much? To me it looks like the stubby little brother of the Bass V.
8.
Been watching what?
Me?
9. I reported it so maybe it gets pulled while they look at it
10. Just listened to it now and its terrible. But name me a band that still does great songs 20-30 years down the line? Like many other bands, they mellow with age, the songs get more poppy and happy clappy, all their best ideas have already been recorded, they don't do the drugs that they used to. I mean look at the Stones, they should've jacked it in 30 years ago. This is all, of course, my personal opinion. Plus I'm full of beer
11. What stupid clot posts a phoney advert and shows their location on the map? Candygram for Mongo
12. Looks like a copy and paste from an ebay ad Its this bass
13.
The majority of the squillions out there cost between 1 and 3 thousand pounds. This one costs 300 pounds. That for me is something to get excited about.
Really? More I'm really not trying to have a go although my response was sarcastic but the market is swimming in Jazz basses of all colours and body woods well under a grand.
14. Bought a Sonuus B2M. Absolutely flawless transaction. Quick as you like and well wrapped.
15. Absolutely right. If you're playing a small gig it will normally only have a vocal PA and a large one ill have a full PA. I use the same gear regardless of venue and its never let me down, its just not trendy.
16. Digging that modern modeonham bosimyeon Woooooo, a Jazz bass. There's not many different versions of that is there? Sorry but I just cannot get excited about another jazz bass copy to go with the squillions already out there
17. Now also for sale bump £140 delivered to your door - mainland UK only. Europe, Highlands & Islands & Ireland will cost more but I can get you a quote if interested.
18. Have a look at some of the 8ohm v 4ohm threads
19. pain in the backside should you snap a string or even during general string changes. The only one that Leo got right was the first Precision one cos you could restring the bass with the cover on.
20. Had a few more ideas for trades but I doubt someone will have exactly all or some of this to trade for this bass: Headset vocal mic Tech 21 VT Bass Phaser pedal Trace 2103H 2x10" Bass Chorus or Chorus that works well with bass I'll add more to the list when I can think of more stuff that i might need
21. Ah well, might as well jump in on this resurrected thread. I'm a lover of all things Epiphone but every single one of their basses neck dive to some extent. The EB-3 that I have up for trade here would have it if you used a cheap and nasty slippy strap coated in Mazola but even with a simple suede Levys strap it still sits with the headstock slightly higher than horizontal.
22. I think I need to be a bit more specific here. I'd be up for trades on stuff like effects, other basses (no fretless though) especially short scale (not an EB-0),a Thunderbird with bag, maybe a cab of some description (preferrably Trace)
23. Yes it is, the single pickup EB-0 is the short scale version with bolt-on neck
