1.
Peeps, Got a Warmoth Jazz but im not getting along with the neck. Its a slim taper contour with satin finish (feels like it) maple on rosewood and chrome schaller tuners. This set up would cost you about over 350 USD which translated to about 225 quid. I as a nice guy that I am, will give it away for 130 plus a fiver on postage. I will get some piccies soon. Thanks Fatos
Hi, would this fit direct onto a US fender P body? if so, I would be interested!
 2. ....and I shall have the neck kind sir!!! let me know if you are splitting the bass up.

 4. Id wear a dress to play like him, the trouble is, once you can, some people just cant stop (overplaying that is, not cross dressing). Ive seen it plently of times... "hey look what i can do"... sadly, they do it through everything! Im sure he could make it fit to the birdy song.
 5.
Obvious question, but you've re-seated the valves and tried a bit of (audio) contact cleaner in the pots, haven't you?
Hi mr... yes tried that...
 6. Hi all, My TE Quatra Valve is intermittently playing up (crackling noises independent of volume), can anyone recommend a good valve amp tech in the south kent area? Ive checked the list and cant see anyone local. much obliged! Andrew
 7.
Is the split on the centre dome or on the edge of the driver?
its on the edge of the driver on the diaphram...
 8. ok, I have finally got hold of the 16 ohm 10" celestions for my 2x10 cab. one of them i bought as a pair off evilbay (sorry) knowing that one of the pair is farting because of a slightly split diaphram. seeing as they seemed pretty hard to come by, I thought i might try my luck with a re-edge kit to see if i can get the 3rd broken speaker working as a spare. So, is it worth doing? I see you can pick kits from the US, but is this the sort of thing and amatuer could be successful with or is it a skilled task? Im pretty nifty with my hands, so feel confident if it is not too skilled. if its worth doing, cab the spare be picked up cheap in the uk? or is there someone local in kent that could repair it cheaply? your thoughts everyone?

 12.
Quote"I dont go for all the "big in favour" players like Pino etc... although i do like Tal Wilkenfeld, she plays amazingly! oops, thats four.. " Unquote they're not "Big in favour"....well that is Pino isnt! he has had a long, long, time carreer and his C.V. is as long as an Oliver Reed Till recipt from oddbins in 1985. Not Flavour of the month by any stretch,.. now...Tal Wilkenfield....flavor of the month(talented as she is) will her career last as long?or be as illustrious? Im guessing, sadly not. oops she is good though! that Drummer fella did well to spot her. what was he called again?
Now now, wipe that Pino brown stuff off of your nose... and get out of the 80's! Just Kidding, this thread is all about what influenced our styles, so opinions are going to vary.. You are right though, I should not have put Pino in the "big in favour bucket" when he is big and in favour. As for Tal, I suppose when you get your Flux Capacitor working again, you will be able to inform us all how Quote long?or... as illustrious? Unquote her career will be. Wheres my dummy gone....?
 13. I reckon: 1st: Stuart Zender (because he matured/progressed on bass through the Jamiroaquai albums and a learned as i went off of him, genius, where did all those lines come from? excellent live) 2nd: John Deacon (mum and dad were Queen fans, ive been listening to Queen since i can remember, great understated melodic playing) 3rd: Billy Cox (his basslines on the Hendrix tracks are massive, if the big H had lived longer, i cant even begin to imagine the further potential of Hendrix, Billy and Mitch moving into all those 70's grooves. I dont go for all the "big in favour" players like Pino etc... although i do like Tal Wilkenfeld, she plays amazingly! oops, thats four..

 17. I think he is going to like the look of all of those suggestions! Cheers for your opions chaps, i shall keep you informed when he makes a purchase. i originally thought SUB, but i guess he has got to get out there and try a few! I think he will be taken by the ESP!
 18. Hi all, Do you have recommendations for my brother in law, whom is a newly converted bassist. He has been dabbling with a cheapy, buy now wants to get a little more serious, he has £500 (now he has sold hid guitar stuff). The bass he is after would have: a Les Paul/SG type look Natural wood/sunburst in colour 4 string easy/fast neck (he is a little chap, so would struggle with big tree trunk necks) Funky/Punchy any ideas? I guess the look is the least improtant because a Les Paul/SG look is a Les Paul or SG!
 19. I have a quatravalve, I LOVE IT!!!!! Im sure the Hexa is even better!!! good luck gooing it up!
 20.
And nothing like having a lil rest during a gig
That reminds me of a gig i did in stockwell, it was complete Sh*T and the guy was a T*t, so I laid on the floor for the entire gig. Mind you, i was a young rebel at the time!
 21. My mate a work brought his new one in, it reminded me of of a cheap Thunderbird copy to play. Take that comment as you like! sounded ok though.
