Always fancied the paisley tho. The website description is an enthralling enticement to feel polish hand built quality, im genuinely looking forward to it, I know nothing of them but have taken a punt and am hoping for something produced with a little love. Not too much, that would be weird.

    Well, As I was dropping off a pick up for rewinding, I decided to jazz up my Jaguar bass with a new scratchplate. Looking through the material, I could not decide so I bought 3! They were cut to size using some sort of scanner as the short scale Jags are a different size. I fitted the darker tort in the end but thought id send out images for anyone interested in changing the standard black one. I might swap as I see fit 🙂 In the images they still have the protective layer to pull off.

    Well, final update from me on this I guess, I had the treble part of the pick rewound (WD Music) as it was dead, its now been re-fretted and setup (Andy Crockett) and I've replaced the tug-bar. Strung with La bella's. regarding Pickguardgate - I went with the black scuffed up and stained with Briwax. Probably not to everyone's taste, but I really like the result. For a '75 it plays great, sounds as a P should, is fairly light with as many original parts as I could recover. If anyone has a rusty screw they are willing to post for the pickguard above the tugbar, please give me a shout. Oddly (considering the condition of the bass), the screw is bothering me 😆

    I just got rid of a couple to BD, they were nice basses but doing nothing in the cupboard. Still have 3 mind you, the P im 'still' restoring, A Jaguar (gigging bass keeper) and a BC Rich Mockingbird (midlife crisis) that ive always loved the look of.

    For sale, nordstrand big singles 5, never used as new. I bought these for my cort B5, didn't install them and subsequently given the bass to my son. They are the 16.5mm ones. Price includes delivery (or you can collect). I get around kent too, so possibly meet/delivery if convenient.
