1. I have a feeling I will never find the 'perfect' bass for me but it's not going to stop me trying everyone I can get my hands on!!
2.
+1 I predict you´ll still be needing an amp so I´d rather invest in something like the new Roland Micro Cube Bass - it´s small, lightweight, runs on batteries and is cheaper than a new bass. TBH I can´t really see the point in acoustic bass guitars. Too big, too uncomfortable to play, too fragile, too quiet, too much feedback when plugged in...
+ infinity
3. That is a beautiful bass!!!! have a bump
4. Better techniques lets you be more felxible I feel though, but like aid above, horses for courses!
5. his technique in fact is very sloppy. An old bass tutor an I discussed and analysed his playing, and what he's doing is controlling his index and middle finger to hit the string and letting his ring finger follow through. If you asked him to play any other rythm with the three fingers I would not know if he could.
6. also alot of active basses have higher output, but that varies ALOT.
7. Its a passive. An easy way to check whether a bass is active or passive is too see if there is a large panel at the back of the bass which you can take off to look at the unit.
8. I think the new Squires are great however I dislike the feel of the necks. What necks I do like are the new Vintage Advance AV4 basses and AV4+1. Great looking and has some tricks over the fenders like better acces to the top frets, definetly thinking about getting one.
9. METAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL \m/ Cool bass, those pups should sound beasty.
10. Go to the bass Gallery and try them 'cos they will surley have one of each or one similar. Or just get a Sadowsky.

wow

...and I have definetly been known to smoke, on stage that is!
12. I can get on with and enjoy alot of deifferent basses but I tell you what I really, REALLY, REALLY would like, is everlasting strings...and a passive 5 string fodera
13. Buy it and sell it on for more?
14. Have a go at anything you like!!! There's no reason you shouldn't try anything, just because someone might say its too hard or such like! I tried to play Maxwell Murder after about 3/4 months of playing bass. I couldn't really play it well then, but I left it, came back to i after a few more months and then I could! So just have a go at some music which you like the sound of or the bass line! If you like the Punk/Rock maybe This Is How It Goes by Billy Talent or London Calling by The Clash
15. I think I have a bass tuition book by her! Forget her name but the book had some great little lines for beginners.
16. The Shark always reminds me of the old Gibson Ripper basses. Great look, have a bump!
17. I'm going to uni in september and I'm actually doing the opposite!!! I'm leaving the 6er at home and taking a 4! Are you thinking of getting an extended range just for the sake of it? Would you really need that extra 'flexibility'? Hope it goes well anyways!!! Great selection already shown +1 for the Peavey
18. Michel Camilo 100% From Within
19. Put you hand up if you have the money for a Ritter? Thought not...lol
20. Are we about to see a bunch of bassist putting up videos on YouTube of them playig fluidly and solidly while wearing japanese girl school uniforms? I think so.
21. I have to say japanese pop music is great!!! I only really know Maximum the Hormone who I have all of their albums, but I love to hear more japanese pop because it always seems to have great musicianship!
22. Not spending enough time in figuring out bass lines that I want to play that don't have a a tab...I do it but just not enough.
23. Go to musicians insurance services. They're most likely to give you a reasonable amount and also their advice is free. Linky Link
24. Love the fingers at the end!!! Makes the piece!!! Great playing very solid and nice tone...even makes me think about getting a jazz!!!
