1. Price drop £280 posted anyone? these are really nice basses, I think the 'made in China' label doesn't do them any justice! If these even had a 'Mexico' label they'd be worth it!! seriously nicely finished and very well put together basses.
2. the johnson is a standard 20 fret neck mate
3. thought i'd take shot of the 'current' family - although i'm trying to shift the tele to make way for a coule of new arrivals!!
4. If I used effects I'd buy this... just cos my band's called Mojohand!!!
5. Ryder neck SOLD johnson still available £20 posted
6. I know these are nice but... £760?? I wish i'd kept the two i had a few years ago now!!! 7. Will take £300 posted for it, and i'll throw in a fender monogram strap! (h
8. haha, i posted it before the pics had uploaded (doh!) and also before adding prices! ideally £25 for the ryder and £20 for the johnson (which includes the tuners)
9. first is a johnson brand precision neck that i 'decided' to try and re-model as a 'tele' style headstock! it was my forst ever attempt at such a practise and well... it didnt go too well!! as you can see i think i shaved off a little too mush of the tip so the tners look as if theyre too big for it! and theres a cut in the underside of the headstock where i sliped with the coping saw! other than these issues its a really nice neck, feel nice frest are good and straight too! no nut (i lost it amongst the chaos!) Second up a 'ryder' precision neck, just recently got this one, i was going to attempt another 'reshaping' but ive decided its probably best i dont after my fisrt attempt!! again, a nice neck, good frets straight and a nice feel to it
10. heres a couple of pics, the others i took seem to be too large to upload, feel free to PM me email addresses and i can send the rest that way
11. it would appear that it was indeed a decent price! as I missed the boat and its gone!
12. not ebay but cash generator: http://www.cashgenerator.co.uk/bass/fender-classic-60s-squire-bass-guitar-sonic-blue-mint-condition-tu1028 I had one and these things are well worth the cash!!! if i wasnt after a classic vibe jazz i'd buy it!
13. been lookin at these for a while and ive got the chance of one, an aspiration deluxe 4 string second hand but in very good condition, ive been offered it for £300 is that about right?
14. well i checked my emails and had a lovely 'yove have won...' moment!!! all being well it should arrive this week! I was/am still alittle aprehensive given the poor pics of it but i guess i'll find out soon enough if its a gudun or a lemon!! Ive also been lookin about re the neck! I'm not sure until i get my hands on it, but I 'think' the precision lyte necks are the same (22 fret with a bit of an overhang?) if so ive found a few on ebay (stratosphere) so i might get a tobacco burst one of them to fir as i dont really like the pointy headstock! but like i say i'll have to get the thing and have a noodle on it frst!!
15. Got gas at the minute and as much as i love this, there are other basses i love more!! This is in mint condition, been gigged a few times but mostly home use, all original and plays really nice with a nice low action. These are very well put together bases - so don't be put off by the 'made in China' label! £320 incl UK delivery No trades sorry just after cold hard cash so i can buy more!!! am at work at present so heres a stock photo off internet to be going on with, will take some pics later tonight Edit: - completely forgot about this! I meant to say that I have replced the heavy duty bridge that cam with the bass for one of the vintage fender ones with threaded saddles (brand new), this helps with the string/pole piec alignment on the bridge pickup, the pole pieces themselves can be lowered/hightened as desired as they are screw poles so this also helps with string balance
16. 17. is that headstock decal right?? it looks as though its not in 100% the right place, seems to be sitting high on the headstock?? and surely thats a 70's decal? with what looks like MIM current day machine heads?
Wow , you got a nice project , with a Status neck , it must be a blast , & the Babicz brige , we don t see these often
cheers, yeh its great to play, feels lovely and that status neck is a joy!! i'd not seen theses babicz bridges before i started and stumbled across a cheap one quite by chance so thought i'd give it a try, really nice bit if kit and i like the way it adjusts - so much better principal than standard saddles
19. I msgd him and told him what it was etc! he messaged back saying he had revised the listing and lowered the price accordingly!! - £650!! So thats a brand new bass (that you can already buy in a shop with a warranty for £420) and a hiscox case all in for about £150 more than you could actually buy it for from a shop!!! not a bad deal!!
20. listed as a 'rare 50's original tele bass' is that right!!! well if he gets £750 for it i'd happily take £700 for mine!!! Its a new generation 'modern player' tele bass which can be bought new for around the £400 mark - as i myself know well! I can't believe the greed and skullduggery of some folk!!
