6. OK so same old story, bought for projects.. never gonna happen!!...need funds! a preamp from a squire VM JAG, complete with chrome knobs, just needs a jack socket and its good to go - £25 posted chrome tuners from a johnson brand neck complete with screws - £15 posted johnson PBass neck (nice maple grain on the back) has issues - i decided i'd reshape the headstock to a tel Pbass style! i started but i chickened out of finishing it! its a nice neck feels great truss rod works/turns ok would be nice when finished!! £25 posted PBass pickup - bought off ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290645956607?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649) never fitted £20 posted pics:
7. Body sold, heres a link to the original sale thread for the neck, its still in exactly the same condition as this - apart from being drilled to fot the body! 8. bump anyone?
9. i missed out on this one, are these really worth the cash? are they worth buying? i'm curious as ive seen a few of these 'tanglewaters' and as i cant afford a 'proper' overwater just wondered if its worth a punt on buying one? if so what sort of cash figure should i expect to pay new/secondhand?
10. just recently aquired this off here.. all maple PBass neck by Dr Parts. its a nice neck, its unused - other than i have mounted it to a squire P body (perfect fit BTW) I bought it to try if i'm honest but in reality i'm a 'jazz' neck person, so it'll have to go! like i say only the neck pocket has been drilled to mount to my existing body, there are no holes on the back of the headstock as i briefly fitted tuners that have the csrew bushings. standard size tuner holes! £45 posted will get some pics up as soon as i can Also, the above mentioned squire Pbass body, solid wood (alder i think) black, in good shape apart from some paint chips - a big one by the side where the jack socket is and a few on the upper part of the body contour (i did attempt a slight relic job on these) back of the body has some scratches too it comes with b/w/b scratchplate, gold individual bridge pieces, knobs. only thing missing is a pickup! I'll even throw in a red tort (non fender) scratchplate i was going to use! £50 posted again will get some pics up as soon as i can I've decided to part with this lot and concentrate on a jazz build instead!
11. £100 posted for a quick sale??

13. had this a year or so, has a few battle scars as you'd expect but nothing nasty (small chips in finish, hairline scratches) the battery box lid is cracked but it still functions. its a blue see through finish with a nice flamed maple effect to the body, active preamp, single 'jazz' pup at neck and 'musicman' at bridge black hardware, few light dings in the rear of the neck but again nothing that afects playabiity no gig bag sadly but will be well packaged for shipping £120 anyone? heres a link to it - will get real pics up as soon as the missus returns with the camera!! 14. ok so thought I'd add mine to the ever growing list!!!! first up, S2 bolt on - wasn't 100% sure on the colour but i wanted one anyway so bought it and actually its not that bad i kinda like it! second up my 'project', status jazz graphite neck (hence qualifying to be in this post i think!) mated to a spalted maple/mahogany body - looks great and plays great too!!! 15. ahhh brings back memories!! wish i cud afford to buy the vette back!!
16. Well i hit the button and bought one of these off the bay, startin 2 have second thoughts now though before its even arrived! Anyone on here got one? Or played one? Its the jazz version btw
17. recently got hold of a nice johson Pbass neck, and seeing as their headstocks are quite ugly, ive found a template for a tele style P bass headstock which 'just' fits within the current headstock length and shape, but... whats the best way to do it? i dont really want to attack it with my jigsaw, i'm guessing a coping saw is best? then just simply sanding it to exact required shape?
18. Got myself a set of plans for a jazz build but they dont have the measurement for the heel depth. Can anyone tell me the depth of standard fender neck pocket? Cheers
19. ive had both over the years, but my current S2 is headless and theyer great to play, the tuning issue for me is great cos i'm only little and it saves me having ti strecth to tune the 'G' definately headless everytime!!
20. i had a bubinga corvette too - very heavy! beautifiul sounding bass though so worth it!
21. wud luv it but a bit short of the readies at the minute! bummer!
22. bump
23. nut width is 40mm sorry ive no way of weighing it, it doesnt feel that heavy to me (certainly a lot lighter than eny of my 'wicks!)
