TBH I didn't notice much difference between the 2. My head is an Ashdown RM 500 evo 2 so works either way for me. Once I had it horizontal and raised it up a bit on some seating and the port was facing our drummer and he knew about it !
Check out their website. I usually go for vertical but have done horizontal too.

We were offered an indoor pub gig on October 3rd before the latest round of restrictions were introduced. Our band hasn't rehearsed since lockdown. I said I wasn't comfortable rehearing in our guitarist house and less comfortable with the gig, given the increased infection rate etc. The rest were fairly keen to gig and tried out a friend to dep. The result was that they realised how good and irreplaceable i am 😎 and didn't want to water down the band for the gig.
Gumtree don't charge fees as such. You can pay to highlight your advert in a few ways if you really need to. If it doesn't sell after 30 days you have to pay to re-list it.
Certain ads seem to attract this response. I've had a couple and they all go quiet after requesting cash on collection. Otherwise I'm pleased with all my Gumtree sales.
