I was tempted by the Fac51 ... but felt I'd be tooo precious about it to play it.

I'm not really keen on white basses tbh, but thank you... I'm going to hold out for a sunburst. Was it a Hooky Eastwood??

I've had the 414... t'was a good bass to be fair. I thought I'd go for the 1024 ... I played one ( and the 2024) when they came out and thought they were damn good basses .. but it was the extra pick up and the non reversed pick pups that put me off at the time... however... times change.

I've been thinking of buying a spare Yamaha BB for when I'm feeling tooo precious about taking my vintage BBs out on the road. The recent chat about the 10 series has made think about the BB 1024... what do they go for these days on the second hand market 🤔??

I'm not bothered by the rarity tbh .... like you I bought it to use it... but I did find it infuriating that the BBPH was rarer than my BB1200S' ....

Not me.... really great basses.... I asked Hooky if there would be anymore.... he said yes and the he was working on it with Yamaha ... unfortunately it won't be this year sadly....

You may want to change mine a bit .... Current Yamaha BB 1200S BB 1200 BBPH ... Previous... BB300 both Japanese and Taiwan versions. BB1100S ,BB734a

Paul answered my wanted post I was looking for another Yamaha BBPH Peter Hook Signature bass... He sold me his for what he paid for it instead of selling it at a inflated price like some of the prices I've seen... The bass was as described and in tip top condition... You will not find a more honest person on Basschat... an absolute pleasure to deal with... Many thanks Paul.

Here's a shot of the socket with the jack in... Just reread you're last comment... I'll check they arent touching when I remove the jack... The red wire goes to the light which is connected to the bulb holder by a little connector...

My Yamaha BBPH seems to have developed a fault... the battery light stays on and drains the battery... the first time it happened I presumed it was dodgy battery that came with it... I've put a new battery in and the light stays on as you can see...anyone else had this ????
