Ahhh I seemed to have edited that part out when I was tidying my notes... I had to get the decal specially made using my red BB1200s as a template (Yamaha wouldn't send me one, even if I sent it over to them) before the restoration the original decal was effected by what ever caused the reaction to the paint work (looking back i wished I'd asked what could have caused this) I did have some before and after pictures, but I can't find the original sellers pix now... it was a long time ago...

Here we have my trusty Yamaha BB1200s I've had this bass for 17ish years. It was a basket case when I got it. But it was black which was something I'd always dreamed of owning since I saw one in the Bass Centre in london back in the 80s. It must have been bottle green at some point in its life ( which was ironic as I sold a green one to buy it) as I noticed in the pre amp compartment that there was a bit of colour left around the inside. I'm guessing it may have been owned by a pro player in the 80s who had requested the colour. The paint had reacted badly with the wood by the time I first saw it .it was a real mess So sent it off to be professionally resprayed. As you can see from the photos its got some dings, the worse being where it sat in it's stand. The foam had collapsed over the years and I hadn't noticed. Normally I'd want you to come around to mine and plug it in and have play on it , give it the once over and also so I can answer any questions face to face ... but in these covid apocalypse days I understand if you can't/don't want to etc... Any questions please don't hesitate to ask..
