1. i really miss my old tech 2 x 10 and mini 1 x 15 which had an ohmage selector switch! superb cabs!
2. Thanks Clarky. I would love to keep this as it's the first time a jazz has felt comfortable to me due to the size of the neck, unfortunately though I need to be strict on myself and try and find a new owner for her! Nobody lined up for it yet though.
3. The biggest regret was an S9 serial late 70/early 80's p bass in cherry sunburst. I think a basschatter has it now! I don;t know why I miss it so much but it just felt right despite being about 10lb, it was also the only maple fingerboard I ever got on with!

6. Hi there. The ashtrays are for a Jazz bass not a P bass mate. I'll take reasonable offers on this stuff!

8. heres the build thread for this for those interested! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/75802-steed-basses-1960-blonde-stack-knob-j-style-bass/page__st__20
9. cheers guys! I'm hoping to have Kevins P bass done soon too I had a rub through on his on the buffer gutting when it;s so close and so easily set back! I took my frustration out on this though which has been sitting there waiting to be done for months. Also have a lovely dot and bound 66 neck nearly done for a fellow baschatter
10. Just finished this beast. The body is swampash finished in nitrocellulose blonde heavy workhorse relicing. The 1 inch thick baseball bat profile neck is 3a flame maple with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, clay dots, sideways inserted frets, handmade 5/32 truss rod, Jim Cairns Pups, repro electronics, original 1962 bridge ashtray and string tree. plays and sounds amazing, the 1" neck is definitely something that should be available on JB's. For the Precision players out there! (decal for my amusement only ) Tortoiseshell guard is currently being made for this so will post pics with that next week. 11. This is a great pedal, made for guitar but works fantastically with bass! The 'resonance' switch has snapped and is set to the 'flat' setting. I personally always had it flat anyway but shouldn't be too difficult to fix. Gives great vintage valve gain and overdrive tones like Bassman sounds etc. Also has 2 screws missing from the backplate from where it was on my pedal board. Other than that its in perfect order. Needs a 9vDC power supply which isn't provided looking for £100 (these are £250 new)

13. Mike purchased a Markbass combo from myself. Swift payment and good communication. top chap! Wes
14. Hi all great little 1 x 12 combo purchased from Clarky in about june/july time. The combo is great and you all know what they sound like and how good they are. I have added a rather handy little trolley to the combo which is great for people who have to to travel by train or have a lot of gear and need to get around london. The trolley is just bolted on by 6 screws so could easily be removed if you wanted to. The combo also has a padded custom cover which i have modified slightly to accommodate the trolley. Prefer collection from Brighton but can be shipped at buyers cost by FedEx bargain at £460 firm
15. My custom order 59 white over candy red P bass is the best bass I have every played by far I did try and sell it when I had the oppurtunity to get a real 59 recently but I;m glad I changed my mind. I would say that they are worth the money but just make sure you try a few first as I have played some that havn't been any better than a USA vintage RI. Mine is defintly of Masterbuilt quality and I think generally the team built stuff is pretty close when you compare the 2 tiers. Pino basses are great. though they have started templating the relic work on them where as they used to be done by eye and you can really tell that they are templated.
16. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1964-Fender-Jazz...e2#ht_500wt_922 Been through a hell of a lot this neck! still about £200 more than it should be! love the way the seller has worded it to sound like he doesn't know anything about it but really does. Should say 'butchered beyond belief, headstock is 90% original, truss rod probably doesn't work as someone has tried to drill it out, refretted very badly and probably isn;t the best sounding neck I;ve ever heard!'

18. Been trying to get some bits finished yesterday. Heres a couple of shots of the baseball bat jazz neck! It feels amazing. The fingerboard has been radiused and is ready for fretting. the body is hanging in the background and is due to have the tinted topcoats then flatting and polishing then the impending relicing. It's going to have gold hardware and will be available for sale on this site. Lead time is looking to be early september so if you are interested send me a PM.
19. Pix to follow tonight.... Great condition Martin DX1 Rosewood gloss top acoustic guitar Solid Spruce top, Composite back and sides, Ebony fingerboard and Martin muliti-laminate neck. I've had this guitar for about 1 1/2 years and its still in great condition apart from a small ding on the lower bout edge which i will picture later. fantastic tone and great playability £450.00
