6. Hi all. I withdrew this from sale a year ago as I couldn't bare to part with it however I have recently decided that I no longer be concentrating on session work and focusing more on songwriting so this should really go to someone who will use it. I had this made for me by the Fender Custom shop a few years back and it is by far the best Custom Shop bass I have ever seen or played. The bass was made to spec from photographs that I sent and in my opinion it is one of the finest Fender CS relicing jobs you will ever see! As good if not better than any Master built bass. The specs are: 1959 spec alder body finished in olympic white over candy apple red (gold undercoat) Quartersawn maple neck with slab rosewood board, matching olympic white over candy apple red headstock CS 59 pickups Heavy Heavy relic finish 7.25" radius, medium C profile neck The bass the original case and has all of the original case candy, tags etc I'm looking for £2200 ONO
7. Up for sale is this lovely Jazz bass neck, handmade by myself. It came off of the 60's blonde stacker that i had up for sale in the affiliates forum. The recipient of the bass would like a much thinner vintage profile neck so I have swapped it out for another neck I had made. This neck features AA Maple, Brazilian Rosewood board, 'clay' dots, vintage skinny frets, 7.25 radius, Bone nut, Nitro Cellulose finish, handmade 5/32 truss rod. The profile on this bad boy is very very chunky..a full 1 inch thick straight down. It is chucky C at the nut end and slightly flattens out toward the heel due to the thickness. A real Mans neck! would work great on a Precision also for those who don;t get on with the wider string spacing on a P. Has heavy finish checking on headstock. *Hardware is not included* decal has since been removed. £450
8.
She had a long article in G&B magazine a couple of months ago. That bass was her dad's & he gave it to her when she left the "Osmonds" type family group they had going to go pro. She still has it. Meanwhile for comparison; the bass-playing skills of two of her contemporaries............ & Steve priest of Sweet with an insane Rick tone thru a stack of Hiwatts.
When they lived in their old house it was hanging by a piece of string from the machine head on the side of the fire place! It is super light weight too!
9. I used to play bass in a band with her son, she's a great player (this clip doesn't really show her bass skills very well) and she has the nicest all original 57 p bass I have ever played! If I could buy any bass it would probably be that one!
10. HAHA that is hilarious....I might just give him my basses to relic in the future.....then again maybe not!
11. 13. Hello all, heres my new 60's band project - Rocket Summers It's only been going a couple days so the demos are rough. Hope you all like! http://soundcloud.com/rocket-summers/i-feel-free http://soundcloud.com/rocket-summers/golden-sun http://soundcloud.com/rocket-summers/hope http://soundcloud.com/rocket-summers/kitchen-song
14. It is a shame this has happened again and I totally believe that Gibson are innocent. When I was out at the factory this time last year we were shown how they import their woods and how they choose the sources extremely carefully, especially after the raid in 2009. It;s more about politics I think with the tea party association. They finish 600 guitars a day in the USA factory and about 70 a day in the custom shop. It is definitely a sight worth seeing and makes you realise just how much they lost when they had the flood! 0ver 2000 guitars into the chipper
15. yes that is part of it all as well. Apologies that you had a bad experience with us. We will hopefully be back on board with basschat advertising soon so we will have a presence and any feedback on the bass dept will be welcome.
