1.
A stunning Ken Smith BSR6TN Black Tiger coming my way....oh, maybe this IS what heaven feels like, I can't wait.. dream about to come true!!
Congrats Matt. Have you actually played the bass you're getting?
2. OK folks, GAS has got the better of me so I'm putting this up for sale. Very loud, very clear, handles a low B no problem. This cab is in excellent condition and comes with a Roqsolid cover. It's had light use since I bought it from The Gallery about a year ago. I'm asking £325 firm, and no trades thanks. Specs are: Custom Kevlar 12" with a 1" High Effciency Phenolic Compression Driver Tweeter Level Control located on rear connection panel Frequency Response: 38Hz to 14kHz Sensitivity: 103dB @ 1m Sound Pressure Level: 128dB @ 1m Power Handling: 350 watts (continuous unclipped power) Impedance: 8 ohm Connection: Two Speakon Jacks Size: 19"H x 17"W x 15"D Weight: 44 lbs (20 kg) Cheers Gareth
3. I picked up this same model Demeter a few weeks ago. Owen was very kind to give me his thoughts before I bought it, and I must admit his review was spot on. He said: I plugged several bass guitars in and they all sounded good. no need for excessive EQing, they just worked. Did it colour the sound - Mmmm yes. In a good way. No harshness, or EQ extremes, just solid usable tone. Good headroom and control. And I couldn't agree more. I'm really pleased with how all my basses sound through this preamp; they just sound right. Cheers Gareth
4. I'd love this, but sadly I have no space for such a beast. It seems like a great deal, plus Chris is a great guy to deal with.
5. Not the most reliable test I suspect, as it's self-administered, but useful nonetheless. Can't analyse it scientifically, but it looks like ten years of wearing decent moulded earplugs has served me well. That said, I only started wearing them once I had permanent tinnitus, as evidenced by the total loss of top end (although I believe that isn't unusal for an adult anyway). Good thread; kudos to the OP. Gareth
6.
I've only just seen this and would very much like to buy - and could collect in just over a week
Hello Nigel Sorry, but this cab is no longer for sale. Cheers Gareth
7.
Are they super long scale?
No, just plain old long scale.
8. I may be interested, but forum rules now dictate that feelers are no longer allowed; you must state an asking price. cheers Gareth

10. Bought a Crown poweramp from Rich. Great price, accurate description and very good communication. Top notch!
11. See if this works.
12. Thinking of getting two of these, each 4 ohm, to enable me to run each channel of my new pre/power amp setup at full power. Does anyone have any personal experience of these 1x15 cabs? Cheers Gareth
13. These are lovely heads and Keith is a top guy to deal with. I only moved mine on as I decided to "rack up" to a Demeter preamp and separate power amp. Very clean, clear head, but with a little more "hair" than the bigger EA heads; great for upright, acoustic, fretless etc. And it really is silly small and light! Cheers Gareth
14.
I'd be lucky to find an rh450 second hand, I guess. Am I right that the LMK doesn't have a true sweepable parametric?
There have been a few RH450s in the "for sale" section already, might be worth checking. I owned an LMK and you're right, no sweepable mids - just low mid and hi mid shelving. Good amp though. Cheers Gareth
15.
EA Doubler seems a bit underpowered at 350W.
These are 550 watts at 4ohms, 350 at 8, and there is one for sale right here on BC as we speak.
16. Ah yes, that model was the first quality amp I ever bought. Top bit of kit and great price too.
