  1. James made this for me last year but I have hardly used it. It's got a very nice textured black finish. It's an AB switch with the A or B inputs going to a single output. There is a volume pot for the A input, which comes in handy when you have two basses that you use on the same amp, but one has a hotter signal than the other. This pedal lets you lower the level on the louder bass so both signals will be the same level going to the amp. The pedal is totally passive. If you need to power the status LEDs the pedal has a Boss style 2.1mm 9v (negative ground) DC socket. The pedal is built with: Aluminium enclosure Neutrik jack sockets 3PDT heavy duty foot switch Point to point wiring Status LEDs 2.1mm 9v DC Socket It cost £40 in this finish - yours for £28 posted.
  2. Hello all Hoping for some help identifying a set of strings. They are a metal wrap with silk colours at the scroll end (they are all purple at the ball) as follows: G - Red D- Yellow A - Purple E - Green Any ideas?
  3. What Chris said. John's preamps are pretty hard to beat.
  4. The lovely people at Galli sent me a four string set by mistake. Rather than send them all the way back to Italy it seems sensible to try selling them on here first. These strings are super smooth and feel wonderful, and thanks to the synthetic core they have a lovely low tension. They do take a while for the tuning to stabilise, as the core keeps stretching initially, but the wait is worth it IMO. Bass Direct are selling these for £40, so I think £35 posted is reasonable.
  5. Just double checked the weight, 8lbs 5ozs, and took some pictures in the sun to show the body colour off better.
  6. A very lightly used set of Galli flats. Wonderfully smooth and a decent tension, not too tight like many. Cut to fit a P bass. Some light fraying to the silks, but hardly worn it all. £25 posted second class recorded
  7. Bought just a couple of weeks ago and fitted to a Player Series P bass, but taken off again almost immediately as I have decided to sell the bass. The HB7 is a direct replacement for Fender® Highway One® tuning machines first featured on many MIM models. It is now a popular choice for many contemporary Fender® basses including Vintage Modified Squire®, USA and Custom Shop models. Many smaller, independent builders have adopted this machine as well. In excellent condition, complete with bushings and screws (one screw has a damaged head).
  8. Bought just a couple of weeks ago and fitted to a Player Series P bass. The Hipshot KickAss Bridge is their “tribute” to the grandad of high mass bridges, the BadAss, incorporating all of the soul of the original without being a copy. Fender 5-Hole Mounting configuration. It comes with five mounting screws, two spare screws and springs for the saddles, and two spare brass inserts so you can vary the height of the saddles to taste. In excellent condition.
  9. So, having spent some time with this bass I have come to the conclusion that I am more of a 5 string devotee nowadays and playing a 4 just throws me off! So, it's available.... It's a lovely bass, 8.5lbs of P bass goodness, lots of natural resonance and sustain. A good example of a modern MIM P bass. I only bought it recently and modded it but a few BCers have suggested I would be better off selling the Hipshot tuners and bridge separately, so I have removed them and reinstalled the original Fender parts. The following upgrades (about £110 worth of items) remain: 2 x 250k CTS pots .033 Orange Drop Capacitor (keeps it more articulate when you roll the tone down) Switchcraft jack Dunlop straplocks Fender tugbar New Fender pickup and scratchplate screws New set of Picato rounds (45-105) TGI Extreme gig bag It is good to excellent condition apart from a small chip on the g string side of the neck pocket (see picture). I'm looking to get £480 for the bass and bag. Collection is much preferred, although I might be able to source a box. Could also deliver Portsmouth/Southampton/Guildford/Reading/M25 Jcts 9-12 area.
  10. Sorry to hear that, but all I can say is they will stabilise.
  11. I've been blown away by these strings: the articulation is amazing and the tension just the right side of medium to be so playable. This is a 4 string set by mistake, so cheaper to sell them in the UK than send them back to Italy for exchange. Brand new in sealed bag. Synthesis strings have a double winding in nickel and steel, which apparenlty gives them a richer sound by combining the brilliance of steel with the depth, sustain and warmth of nickel. They do sound damn good! Set 4 strings MEDIUM nickel plated steel .045 - .105
  12. MIke and I just keep on trading! He's a legend. Deal with total confidence!
  13. Don't worry! They have a synthetic core which stretches so they do take a while to settle, but once they do they are rock solid. Mine took about a day to settle, just keep tuning them up to pitch and they'll be fine.
  14. You can absolutely do it yourself. It's just a matter of unscrewing the 5 screws, swapping over, and screwing them back down again.
  15. I have always loved La Bella nylons on my fretless basses, the tension is lovley and they can sustain for days with the right set up. Black ones are good if you like a darker tone, whereas the white ones have a brighter top end. However, I recently tried a set of the new Galli Synthesis flats, whch have a synthetic core, and they are just incredible. My new favourite fretless string without a doubt. If I was still using rounds on a fretless I always had good experiences with DR Sunbeams and Elixirs.
  16. Agreed, these are terrific basses, and perfect for pimping up to personal taste, as I did with mine here.
  17. The excellent little Ashdown Tonepocket with tote bag, UK power supply, mini-jack to mini-jack and USB to mini-SUB connectors, plus stick-on belt clip. Never been out of the house. Excellent condition. £80 posted using 2nd class Recorded Delivery. Thanks for looking.

  19. If only it was unlined....
  20. I like the Rotosound .96mm triangle picks for bass, as and when required.
  21. Sold some pots to Steff. Very smooth deal.
  22. Designed to be an all-in-one showcase of what Heistercamp can do, this is a classic guitar strap in black leather. These are £39 new, but this is £25 posted.
  23. I love La Bella white nylon flats, the tension is low and they sustain for days. Also recently discovered the new Galli synthesis flats, which have a synthetic core, they are a class above anything else I've played.
