1. Decided to down size as I'm not gigging electric bass after Christmas and I have a PJ briefcase coming for my DB. I'm also skint. So we have here the following:- Mark Bass LMii which came out of a Markbass combo, but was re-sleeved by Markbass. This came from Grand Wazoo so quality assured. Was immediately put into a rack unit with Markbass ears. It is an LMII, the colour scheme is reversed on combos, and it has "combo head" logo on front panel. Mini 4x8 600 watt @ 8 Ohm cabinet. Same spec as Ashdown, but looks sexier with red trim and has (IMBO) better drivers (Celestions). 1x Speakon-Speakon lead & Rack ears Incredibly compact rig for £450 All in excellent condition. This is collection from North Dorset only. But I could deliver up to Bristol/Exeter/Basingstoke/Southampton for petrol costs. I have an acute distrust of couriers handling "expensive" equipment, so if you need this couriered please feel free to arrange collection & delivery at your expense & liability.
 2. Ahh Herr Doktor! Mit de tortoiseshellen??!
 3. I'm in the process of getting my fav jazz bass modded. I want to buy a scratchplate that has no hole for the neck pickup, does such a thing exist? Or can anyone point me in the direction of scratchplate makers plz?? Thanks, John

 8.
No,i will be entertained by another old slapper, fnar, fnar.
I'm afraid I will be too busy to go and too busy to entertain Mr Hillbilly D/L as it's my night for using the nose hair removers.
 9.
Hi John, The Spyder is a fantastic amp, it sound like my Little Bastard with more power and guts, a real beast of an amp. Its well worth considering as the price is very good. I've used it no more than a dozen times and it is as new. Let me know if you want it. Thanks mate. Marc
No money dude......hence the sale of the 6 string
 10.
Would you like a great sounding Sandberg JJ5...... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=105568 I would trade with some cash coming my way if you are interested. Marc
Hey Marc, That's a lovely Sanberg, but I'm having to sell stuff to pay domestic bills at the moment, sorry! John PS If I'd had the money I'd probably buy your Spyder, I've always fancied one of them.
 11. Slowly getting rid of back line as I'm stopping gigging electric after Christmas and a change in circumstances means I'm selling bits to pay for household necessities. First off: 4x8 mini cab for sale. Picture shows their size compared to a Mark bass head. The equivalent 1x15 is underneath. Exactly the same as Ashdown Mini 48, but without the Ashdown badge, but with red piping. Apparently made by the same company that makes Ashdowns cabs. Nice looker, black vinyl(?) cover with red piping. 4x8 is 8ohm 600 watts weighs bout 30kg. The drivers are celestions, from looking through the rear ports. Dimensions are 47x47x34cm, nice square shape!!. Nice condition and well looked after. I'm in North Dorset and I'm happy to drive and meet, or deliver, no more than 25 miles from where I am as well as courier.
 12. Funeral for a friend/Love lies bleeding. 6th form concert. 1976.
 13.
I'd love this, and I'm just in Bournemouth and all. But the only thing I have to possibly trade is a yamaha bb414, which wouldn't quite cut it I guess. Good luck with the sale though
Yeah sorry Craig, trades are off now, it's a straight sale. Price is negotiable tho' especially as a meet/delivery would be easy. Cheers, John
 14.
Would you sell it?
Now for sale. £250 posted
 15. Ok, I'm having to put my money elsewhere (new amp and new fridge), so this Shuker is still available. I'll let the dude know I can't buy this. I'll also ask him if he wants to post it on here as it sounds like it will sell schnell. I'm not interested in buying it, then selling on here. John
 16.
Would you sell it?
I guess if no one's interested in a trade.
 17.
Im selling my Phil Jones Briefcase, its been gigged regularily but still in good condition, i used it the other day and it sounds great but i got an acoustic image rig a while back so i cant justify keeping both and the acoustic image just has the edge on double bass sound for me.. I originally got this for use on a theatre project and it sounded great, didnt let me down for a second over a 3 month run, ive also used it in battery mode wired up to a car battery (as recomended for longer use that an internal battery!!) and it works great, did 3 outdoor 45 minute sets and didnt run out of power! Recently its been mostly used by Emily Breeze as an acoustic guitar amp, a purpose for which it also sounds great, shes going to electric now so theres no use for it.. Only cosmetic things are a small tear in the tolex which i have glued and you can hardly tell. Im asking £300 delivered.. Not sure how to get pictures up as my phone camera is broken but will try and find a way..
PM'd
 18. Just looked at the ad again. I've realised I may have insulted the 6 string bass fraternity, and tappers and slappers, and not exactly enticed any prospective 6 string players with my disdain in the post. Not the greatest sales pitch in the world, but it was supposed to be a bit humorous. The bass is great.

 21. Comes with Gator case and is in excellent condition. The "hipshot light" tuners are great, matching all the hardware which is a weird but lovely grey/black gloss. Vol, Pan and stacked Treb/Bass pots, passive/active switch. 2 very powerful buckers, which are very "tone-ful" passive. Adjustable pre amp too. Surprisingly light and well balanced on a strap. Now for sale £220 delivered. The gallery are selling a used one for a lot more. http://thebassgallery.com/product_details....e=Bass%20Guitar So grab a bargain. I live in Dorset, could meet up, within hours drive. So Exeter, Bristol, Southampton, Winchester (A303/M3) radius. Thanks, John
 22.
All in all, a bassist that is playing for the band, not himself.
Single most sensible thing I've ever read..........ever.........................................................................In the world..! Here is the least sensible thing I have ever written as it is only my opinion: - Very few people can sustain playing quaver root notes in time, with expression, over a whole song. It takes discipline, listening, and a desire to enhance the "whole" sound, and to only be missed when you stop playing. Therefore I guess a bad player lacks discipline, listening skills and a desire to be part of the "whole"........"please notice me, not the song" kind of thing....but who are we to judge? I only have 1 U2 album, (Joshua Tree) and I still use it as a good example of simplicity, less is more, with students.
