2. Ill give it a few more bumps on here to see what offers come before i'd consider sorting for a courier Andrew (tis quite big n heavy) ........where you based? cheers :-)
3. Won't be here long at that price.bargain!!
4. naff picture until practice bump
5. Sadly I need to downsize. I love this cab and prefer it to the 8x10 ,to me it has much better lows.this is USA made( early 2000's at a guess) It's in not to bad condition ,a couple of Nick's on the tolex and black tape on the edges (originally to protect tolex joints) grill is fine. The only issue ( not imo) is the horn doesn't do anything...I think the fuse bulb needs replacing, not a issuse to me as other uses will agree it's a million times better without it SUPER SALE £250 Obviously a pick up or meet situation, based in Devon but happy to travel SW Pics up later :-)
6. That Ashton is great http://www.academyof...rs~bq410-p.html under £150 ! Super cheap, shame its not 4ohm........or ID be trying it for that price.gotta be the best value cab EVER!?
7. Yeah I'm wanting it for my svt cl .....and as you say it has to be 4ohm. I know there are plenty of 2x12 etc cabs that can perform better.........but asphetically with the svt I'm more for a 4x10 Any other ideas on cab ? I didn't really like the ampeg 4x10hlf
8. I'm wanting to downsize a little from my Ampeg 6x10 to a fairly decent 4x10 round the £500 Mk,this has caught my interest.......has anyone tried it with a valve head for rock type music? ( even better an svt cl head) There isn't any shops to try down my way,Any thoughts?Cheers
9. I'm in punk sounding heaven with this little board :-) the sparkle into the b3k is sublime. I took a chance on the nobles and im very happy with it, no low end loss and it can get super crunchy.
10. It's all very optimistic to be fair :-D........I'm determined to get it working,I'll post a pic in a month or 2 ;-)
11. I've been over the wiring of the footwitch and using a daughter board for connecting it all appears correct? When I first wired it up I didn't use a daughter board and I hadn't placed a CLR before the Led .......it went pop, could that maybe of damaged the footswitch?
12. 125b size bigwan
13. Gonna sound like a spaz here.........which 1s are the Jfets? Also how do you know which way to turn the caps for right polarity? I literally copied the parts list and photo shown in the ginger docs in this link.not fully clued up yet :-( I'm sure it's nothing major as I can notice the knobs working ( just no bass sounds) .... There is also no bass at all when effect is bypassed. http://www.musikding.de/ROG-Ginger-Ampsim-kit Thanks guys :-)
14.
The Ginger is also on "ze list"... As is the Fairfield Barbershop (should have most of the bits for it lying around!). Looking forward to your Ginger pics. Did you use the board from Musikding?
i used Musikding yes, great prices :-) I do think i might have bitten to much off doing the Ginger as a first build project though :-( I have power etc (Led, switch n jacks work) but all i get is horrid static sounds? volume and gain work but no sounds ,just static buzz?. ive checked the components to the list/diagram i have and solder joints ......... all appear good (to me that is)?? doing my nut in a bit tbh ...........any ideas, anyone done the ginger? cheers
15. ahhh I thought that was what their "juicy blue" overdrive was based on . Iv'e just started my first build (ROG ginger)....soldering the board was not as hard as i thought ,quite therapeutic ....i can understand getting the bug :-). different story with wiring the footswitch ,jacks, power and led :-D , There was no diagrams for that part so i winged it a little (n balls'd it up) i didn't put a resistor to the LED. gave up and ordered an easy connector board for the footswitch. pics soon.
16. I've been quite interested in the Le bass, what's the cab sim sound like that you don't like Dan ?
17. https://youtu.be/NB6GerXHWjI there is a video up now.it sounds good, but so much going on in such a small box makes me nervous about things going wrong?
18. Was it a standard or mod monkey? I preferred the standard myself .I found the best out of that pedal is the treble full and the bass just slightly off full ,gain at 10 and volume to suit......in a valve amp them settings were fantastic
19. £8 for the tuners ,work fine but no screws £10 for the bridge £2 postage
20. I've just sold Ben a bass soul food, easy peasy trade an total gent to deal with.would happily buy, sell or trade with him again in the future :-)
21. Sold a bad monkey to Paul, absolute pleasure to deal with and would be more than happy to trade with him again :-)
22. The visuals of that looking glass look awsome , on my radar since NAMM now ( gaaasss) I didn't order the nobels after hearing construction/reliability issues..... I have the new sparkle drive mod inbound now ,it seems to be all I want from a tube screamer :-)
23. I recently purchased a pedaltrain mini from Julian........ Fantastic guy to trade with. Deal with confidence ,i would happily do so again :-)
