SOLD

Bump for a new pic. Offers and trades very welcome.
6. I have this, the holy grail/industry standard of bass amps. It is lovely but as I'm constantly loading in and out into my workshop on my own I'm sticking with my Orange OB-1. I shall get more detailed photos tomorrow when I'm in said workshop. It's missing three knobs but the actual pots are fine. Made in Korea and sounds as good as the MIA I tried recently. Has usual tolex wear but nothing mad. Happy for people to try it out. Open to trades with £450 min coming my way. REDUCED TO £800
7. Is the neck a J or P?
8.
I may be missing something, but these appear to be £65 new from the companies website?
£65 new without the case which is £45ish
9. This sounds interesting and up my street. I think I'm up your way from Monday to Wednesday. My band is recording at Titan Studios in Watford. Not sure how correct I am in assuming that's near you.
10. I finally got to take a photo of all three of my basses. All Fenders and they've all come through this forum. L-R 2011 USA 60th Anni Pbass (stock), 1998 MIJ 50th Anni Shell Pink 60s jazz with Fralin pickups and a hi-mass bridge and a 1986 MIJ 50's Pbass with Badass bridge/Hipshot saddles and a Duncan SPB-1 The Jazz has just be refretted by myself and played a show with it on Saturday.
11. Zilla quoted me £100 for a 2U sleeve. I've not got one at the moment because I've ended up having a Line 6 G90 in my rack.
12.
Don't suppose you fancy trading for a MiniNova?
As tempted as I am I'm using the money to fund a MacBook.
13. I bought this from Guitarguitar Epsom not long ago. Ex Demo. Comes with power supply. No original box but it will be shipped in the box they sent it in.
14. This thing is a beast! One of the coolest pedals I have. So much so, I actually have two. This one doesn't come with an original box as it's been misplaced somewhere. Price includes postage. Up for trades.
15. New shows added including Camden Rocks!

17.
Is a 5 3" woman in shoes with 3" heels deceiving people into believing she is really 5 6"? Is this height snobbery? Of course im being silly but perhaps people just make what they have look better to them. If that also gives a little confidence, then bonus.
It's not the same. You can see that the person in heels isn't really 5' 6". If you put a Fender logo on a Squier in particular, you can't see it's not a Fender until you closely examine. And if you get confidence from branding one thing to another that's wrong. It's counterfeit. Just like putting on a Nike tick onto an unbranded shirt. Even if you don't sell it that's still wrong. Buy the real thing or tell everyone that actually this cheaper/other brand is great.
18.
I agree with the POV that a Fender logo invites confidence from other musicians and punters/techs. It's an icon in the market and a brand everybody associates with a professional bass guitar. I've been gigging my ~3k Yamaha (and even a ~4k Ken Smith) a lot and i lost count of the amount of people talking to me at the end of the gig congratulating me on my tone but "i should get a Fender, that's the real deal"... There was a time where i proceded lecturing them on how badly constructed Fenders are with no attention to matching bodys to necks and basicly built like a kit put together in a hurry in the end of the line and that a USA Fender hasn't got enough material or labour to cost more than $500... now a just smile at them and answer that i don't have the money to buy a Fender, cuts the conversation short
Banging a Fender logo on a bass to invite confidence is a lie. It's deception. Whether you sell it or not. It's the intention of making people think it's a Fender. It's brand snobbery enablism.
19. I've used Schaller, Dunlop and DiMarzio. Currently using Schaller on all my straps. The reasons are: I've never had one fail and I have different straps for different purposes. Like a Mono compfort one for long band practices, a normal Souldier and a Souldier with my wireless pack on. major reason I don't use Dunlop. I had one fail multiple times with my Les Paul nearly dropping to the ground because it just came out of the strap button. Its only held in by ball bearings, A little locktite on the Schaller nut and a spanner will sort any loosening problems.
20. So I've had the following USA Vintage Deluxe with Era control, Finnish Vin Deluxe with toggles and Vintage Ultra. And my favourite by a mile is the US made Deluxe. Anyone else in the same boat? It just seems to have a warmer, more robust tone. I had a Pike Vulcan and that was outstanding as well.
21. I liked Thundercat. Didn't see Goldfrapp. Will wait for the full episode. What I think is missing from Later... is rock. There used to be way more good rock bands on there when i was young. And I think in general on TV.
22. For me it's a bit like buying a t-shirt from Primark and banging a Nike badge on it. They might look the same, they might even be made in the same factory but the money spent to make them are from two different sources. And if you can't be arsed to talk to people about your non Fender bass then don't talk to them about it. Punishers are quite easy to deal with really.
23.
I do this all the time. It actually sounds better than my US Fender. Our guitarist however makes his own guitars (LP copies) from scratch and always badges them Gibson. He gets a lot of stick for it in the band.
Your guitarist baffles me. I'd 100% put my own name on a guitar I've built myself. Even if it's a bitsa. I mean Nash basses are glorified bitsa basses or at least used to be to my knowledge and he has his name on them. Still waiting on namesake discount/endorsement haha
