Just had a listen to you work on myspace and its sounding pretty damn good, just a quisk question. How good is the Ampeg SVX, ive considered buying it but i wanted to hear opinions on it.
cheers dude. the ampeg program is sweet. in the past ive used the ampeg svx set to 8x10 and cl head with the tubescreamer from amplitube and that sounded pretty sweet. on my stuff ive used the standard kit. on stuff for my metal band ive used drum kit from hell which is so good. apparently meshugah used DFH on their new record.
If all you want to do is build loops to jam along to then i would suggest cubase. It's nowhere near as frightrning as it first appears. I got my first recording setup only two weeks ago - PC running EZDrummer and Guitar Rig- and ive already got to grips with it. I would suggest that if you do get anything simpler then after a few months you would have exhausted all it functions whereas with cubase it will hold you in good stead for a long time to come. Hope that helps.
good call im using cubase sx3, EZcrummer, AmpliTube and Ampeg SVX. thats what i've recorded all of my 'the nashville project' stuff with.
  5. cheers dude. yea lyrics and vocals scare me a little
It's crap with garageband, in my opinion. There is a standalone player now that is free, you can audition samples but I don't think that you can put stuff together.
thats because garageband is crap. ive been using it with cubase sx3

  10.
Haha nash good reply out of interest how DID you manage to crack the laquer so badly around the controls?

ok... wtf did YOU do to the control knobs ?
well. when i took the original preamp out because it was bust i wanted to put some passive pots in but it was a little too deep so a good friend of mine carefully chisled some away so it was thinner. sadly the laquer cracked around that area. ahpook - at one point i only had the p pup wired and i didnt want any controls.
  11.
i see me a cowpoke, just the same as mine (gotoh bridge aside) except wtf have you done with the control knobs ?!?
it used to be mine. thats what happened with them

with a russian and a usa big muff's is it literally both on one after the other in terms of signal chain? does it work better with identical settings or deifferent? also the russian is true bypass and usa buffered which one should go first ie bass-muff1-muff2-amp

  18. no it was £1889 in cranes. over priced but apparently you can get them for £900 somewhere on ebay.
  19. so i walked into cranes in cardiff yesterday and remembered they had 2 Caparison Dellinger basses in stock. now, i've seen these loads and the look has finally grown on me. the shop wasn't busy so i decided to try one out. man it's good. it souinds amazing, really punchy and aggressive. it's the only P/J config i've ever liked.
