i used it with a fender p with an emg into a blackstar ht-dist then the head then a peavey 8x10. eq on the trace was flat and so was the blackstar pretty much. i could hear every note and so could my guitarist. not muddy at all. best tone i've ever had.

best valve head over all. discuss. i tried one lastnight and it was so so good. better than the sunn i had.

started on bass. now playing guitar in a band that i've written the songs for. i need a bass amp again so i can get back into playing bass in a band.

i had this problem with the same bass and same brand of strings but on a 4 string. i was on tour so i couldnt get any other strings. i top loaded it for the tour then i think i bought some GHS and they were great.

i'd go for a 2band anyday. just sounds that little bit better. less zing but punchy.

probs one of the nicest basses i've ever seen. i love it.

agreeing with merton here. the blackstar guitar amps aren't brit made but are simply awesome. it's all about the components used.

[/quote] ashdown five fifteen combo's dont have fans and thats the ashdown listed in jerseytrev's gear list in his sig. also to amend your earlier post. ABM is no the preamp name it's the line of amps name. EVO is the preamp name hence EVO I/II/III. from what i remember EVO II's are now used in the MAG series.

basically if this amp stays as it is, it's a bad miss. if it changes then it's still a bad miss by putting up a nonaccurate prototype. what a joke. either way ashdown have failed. i, like alot of us have been waiting a long time for this and at the present time, what a disapointment.

to me the specs sound like they've put the crap pre of the evo's on to the power section of a mesa 400+. pretty lame.

2 sets of spare strings. you shouldnt have to restring after 4 shows if they are fresh on. if you're staying places overnight instead of going home take a mummy style sleeping bag. 1 pair of jeans 2 pairs of boxers 4 pairs of socks and if you can fit it a pair of shoes (something small like cons or van slipons)

if flea gets a sig jazz it's obvs going to be the oly white shell plate 62 ri alike. he was given hiswhite jazz by someone famous i think. also the RHCP are way past it. the ego's in the band are way too big now. john f has ruined them and flea has gone off the rails. i hope they split soon.
