  1. That my friend is...erm...no. https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fmedia1.giphy.com%2Fmedia%2FpPhYIDiYzOGSA%2Fgiphy.gif&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fgiphy.com%2Fexplore%2Fno-chance&docid=DVAQq6_CM-WA3M&tbnid=yDxZHhuXazDghM%3A&vet=1&w=425&h=228&hl=en_GB&gsawvi=1&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim
  2. I’m a few weeks into discussions over a fairly rare bass, the only stumbling block is the bass’ location. It’s an 8/9 hour round trip - those who know me will realise I don’t have 8/9 spare minutes most days... The current owner is a lovely man and has offered to meet half way, but still it’s not really feasible time wise. I’m looking into other options, but wondered if anyone from down that way does any travelling towards my area or could even assist with just getting the bass ready to ship. Thanks in advance 😉
  3. I used him for a pickguard once, he was really pleasant and did a nice job. But it seems not everyone has had the same experience.
  4. Yeah we need that thread
  5. Yeah, the whole thing went balls up. Routinely things just stopped or changed without consultation. I got bored with it eventually. The second album being finished, then deleted, then started again. When I left they plodded on with a new guy for an ep and a single. All tracks we’d rejected for the second album. Their deal was cancelled/ended and while they’re still listed as a going concern...that’s not the case.
  6. Hahaha. Can’t detect if sarcasm or not, so I’ll just tell you to Feck off to be safe.
  7. Still have a few pairs. My latest are black suede
  8. You don’t half talk shite.
  9. Think that’s summarised above, it was to turn a kit bass into a finished item in the style of a 60’s thunderbird. money was paid to do this work. very little or none of this work was done. no money was returned. Explanation was offered to Op that there was a legitimate reason for no work being done. in the meantime, the person paid continued to complete work for others while having claimed temporary incapacity - preventing the op’s job being done. eventulally at additional cost the bass was completed by another luthier.
  10. Oh the singer? Clark’s wallabies...indie boy must have.
  11. They were gazelle’s mate. Standard indie boy sneakers
  12. Haha. No there’s very little evidence thank god, probably some in the archives at itv or bbc somewhere. There was a great set of performances from itv on YouTube but the singer took them down as he didn’t like the particular songs anymore. Which really annoys me, and I’d never thought to download them as I didn’t think he would’ve done that. My Mrs at the time took some photos of that day, was nice. there’s a load of audio stuff on cds at my mums.
  13. I was referring to the fact that in 2009 I was living the dream a bit, touring and doing tv/radio stuff. it wasn’t a particular bass, think I was playing a JV Squier and a Jack Casady at the time. it was more that I’m merely a weekend warrior these days...
  14. I’m gonna have ring leak in the morning. Two lots of buffet and lots of beer...
  15. I wasn’t jesting. Every time I talk to him I think it a bit more. 😏
  16. You quack me up.
  17. I also said he was a d*ckhead.
  18. More of a tripod...
  19. Just like my dad should’ve withdrawn...but no.
  20. In between the a580 and m60. M27 is start of my postcode 😂
  21. So is the withdrawal idea...
  22. I wasn’t sure when I posted this... but... I’ve decided to open it back up as i’ve Got itches to scratch...mainly a bb714 This an animal, but I have a modded 414 which sits closely by my side and I’d never let go. So no matter how much I’d love to keep this, it’s last in first out. one dink on the back, otherwise perfect. just over 9lbs Ive changed the knobs to the typical bb sucked sweetie ones but I have the metal ones too. id entertain bb414 wine red bb714 in lava red (not interested in the black one) no case/gigbag. collection preferred from M27,
