1. Welcome!
 2.
Playing at my slide-player's 50th birthday bash two weeks ago. He looks like this: So just for that evening, I looked like this:
Going for the Deborah Harry look. Like your style.
 3.
Same here with Chrome, no problems at all. Chrome does however struggle with embedded Flash, especially movies. Were they pages with youtube vids ?
Opera seems to suffer the same. Had it crash a couple of times. Could I ask that with your new avatar Mr Machines we don't post too close together. My avatar gets awfully frisky this time of year and all hell could break loose. Ta.
 4.
I can't think of anything to say. Have fun in NZ Guy. Does Craig Martini still post here? Can we have an exclusive famous bass player forum that the rest of us are not allowed in? Or we could start threads about as many famous bass players as possible and see how many turn up? I still bore the wife silly about the fact that the bloke off Sky News emailed me.
Craig Martini was born on exactly the same day as me. We are bass twins he got all the talent though. I bore my wife silly with that
 5. I asked Guy Pratt a question on an online discussion forum. It was a stupid question but a question none the less.
 6. *think of something cool or at least not stupid to say Marvin* Do you fancy a pint at the BC Arms? It's in Off Topic I'll get the first one in. *pillock Marvin, chance to ask a quality question and you balls it right up!*
 7.
Who's captured him? HAHAHAHA <etc> Si
Yu got there before me! Great minds etc etc.
 8. However, Vintage do seem to be one of the only brands where prices are going down which always an incentive.
 9. The only thing I could add is that I tried a Vintage copy of a Warwick (ironically for this thread) and everything was fine apart from the weight, it weighed a ton. It put me off.
 10.
Ibanez basses are sh*te,
I think there are a lot of people who would disagree with you. It's all down to personal taste over feel and sound as the quality isn't a problem. Some find them too light giving the impression that they are flimsy.
 11.
I think I need to spend more time discussing what he is learning to play in terms of theory etc. That way he gets to learn the song, plus some transferable skills and ideas he can build upon at a later date. Thanks for the advice btw. Good stuff.
Does sound a little tricky. I've just started lessons, and so far my tutor is covering stuff I already know. However, I'm quite happy to go with it that way because I see every lesson as building from the previous, and I also have to practice for next lesson things that I would push to one side normally, in favour of learning some song.

 16.
"Don't shag the bride"

another 'fixed' suggestion
I've already broken that rule, but I was the groom.
 17.
"[s]Don't[/s] shag the bridesmaid"
Fixed
 18. Excellent, well done.
 19. That was seriously good.
 20. I haven't got one but it's definitely on the list. I don't need it at the moment, however, seriously considered one the Hydrive combos.
 21. The Zoom definitely seems to be more accurate. Sometimes on the Korg the 'needle' will waver all over the place. I'll have to get the instruction manuals out to check things like Hz, being the technical idiot I am. Generally, it's not overly noticeable when playing but it was emphasised the other night at a lesson when I'd tuned up on the Korg and I was a little out from my tutor. I think the Zoom will be first choice.
 22. One is a Korg GA-30 (small cheap little thing) the other is the tuner on a Zoom B2.1u pedal. Tune up on one and the other will then say you're slightly flat (sometimes sharp) and vice verca. I'm assuming it's because neither is particularly accurate as they are fairly cheap (i suppose).
 23.
Plus one. Why won't anyone scam me? I'm fairly gullible. PS: Did you know the word 'gullible' isn't in the dictionary? You did? OK, then.
I never knew that.
 24. I feel left out, I didn't get one.
