  1. LOL. But maybe it's time to give Mr. Clayton a break? The bass parts on U2's earlier works (pre stadium success) are a lot more varied and interesting than the more plodding 8th note stuff he did later on. I suspect the booze had something to do with it. Perhaps a controversial opinion.
  2. Not sure how to describe the genre of this. There's a lot in there! If you haven't seen this already, I think the video is worth a watch.
  3. Not tested it myself but I would think the latency would be pretty low since it's likely to be working at the bottom layer of the usb protocol.
  4. Nova Twins - Supernova Pitch shifted overdriven awesomeness
  5. Yep. Phones normally use their usb to connect to a computer. On The Go means it can switch to effectively be the computer, so you can attach other devices to the phone's USB (for example a memory key to store files on).
  6. I have this one, I am very happy with it. And yes it is fun! Less than half of your budget though. Completely unlined. Dots are aligned with the fret positions, not between the frets.
  7. Just popped up on the radio. I had forgotten how awesome this was!
  8. Finally got around to watching Paul McCartney at Glastonbury. Absolutely loved it! Great band, and he can still sing and play, great performances. But songwriting for me trumps everything, and what an amazing collection of songs. Also great video quality, Ultra HD and HDR, and I thought the audio was good too. Love that he thanked the tech crew too. Not sure Dave Grohl added much but I enjoyed Springsteen's bit.
  9. I have this pedal. I played with creating my own TonePrint for a bit until I got a sound I was happy with, and I haven't touched it since! Mind you I only have myself to please, if I played in a band I might pay it some more attention. I am very happy with it so far, the tracking seems good to me with both monophonic and polyphonic modes. Programmability is great, a bunch of other effects on the octave up and down such as modulation and overdrive, and various high / low cut / pass filters. Octave up does sound a little bit synthetic as they always do, but OK to my aging ears. I use it for: - sounding a bit like a 12 string on a standard 4 - sounding a bit like Pino on fretless - making a pleasingly dirty noise with octave up through overdrive
  10. Had to step away from the live stream for Snarky Puppy unfortunately (busy with something else), but they were smashing it from what I saw. I'll have to watch it on catch up later. I'm going to check out Herbie Hancock too.
  11. Just noticed that Snarky Puppy are about to be on. Should be worth a watch unless you are disinclined towards jazz...
  12. I missed McCartney last night, was watching Mitski (I still think she was great, each to their own 😃). Annoyingly, I can't find Macca on iPlayer this morning. Does anyone else have the same problem? Maybe it's just my TV (LG)?
  13. Looks great too 😀. Enjoy the new bass.
  14. Mitski, incredible singer and performer, and a super tight backing band.
  15. I just watched Glass Animals with my offspring. Great band, bouncy songs, a violin bass and nice use of effects. Some quite synthy sounding guitar and some tremolo on the bass. Recommended 😀
  16. Crowded house were great. Watching Squid now. Different but good.
  17. Another recommendation from me for Idles, worth a watch on iPlayer if you like it loud and edgey. I missed Crowded House, I'll try and watch on iPlayer later. Looking forward to McCartney.
  18. I bought a Pigtronix compressor pedal from James. It arrived promptly in the post, well packaged and in very good condition. Great communication throughout. I would not hesitate to do business with him again.
  19. On Radio 6 Music - they are doing "6 Music Salutes Paul McCartney"
  20. Nice, listened on YouTube, sounds good. Great solo by the way ☺
