Morning all! Next step in my gear clear out, here we have a Markbass CMD 102p 2x10 combo which is less than 12 months old & as new. Spec are as follows: SPEAKER :2x10, TWEETER:piezo, BASS PORT: front IMPEDANCE: 8 ohms SENSITIVITY: 101 dB SPL, SPEAKER POWER HANDLING: 400W RMS (AES Standard), AMP OUTPUT POWER: 500W @ 4 ohm / 300W @ 8 ohm, FREQUENCY RESPONSE: 40 Hz to 18 kHz, CROSSOVER FREQUENCY: 3 kHz, WEIGHT: 44 lbs / 19.9 kg: HEIGHT: 18.9 in. / 47.9 cm, WIDTH: 23.4 in. / 59.4 cm, DEPTH: 18.7 in. / 47.5 cm PREAMP: solid state. I'm finding myself doing more & more pit work & have replaced this with something smaller. The amp is as new, gigged only once & has no marks, chunks missing or issues. It comes with a cover (also as new). Price wise I'd like £749 (no trades please) & would prefer not to ship as I don't have the box anymore! Thanks for looking.
I just bought Hodge's pair of Aguilar DB112's off him and must say they were even better than described. He offered to meet me on Friday and drove at least 2 hours to hand them over in person, so we spent a cold foggy hour at Baldock Services talking "bass". I used them in anger on Saturday night and am more than happy with the deal. Thanks again Hodge; it was a pleasure to meet you.
I'm happy too! just bought Lakland Glaub of Hodge & it is great, exactly as described at a decent price & zero hassle, a pleasure doing business & many thanks.
Yet another +1 for Alan, He just bought a Reggie Hamilton Jazz bass from me. Lovely bloke to deal with, really easy sale. Hope you enjoy it. All the best Chris
After months I've finally twigged how the feedback works! 2x trades with Alan, both spot on, good bloke to do business with. Cheers.
This bass is ace. I haven't played one this good in ages. Nice to see a P on the forum, most Sadowskys seem to be jazzes at the moment.
Cheers Rich, the P's do seem to be harder to come by, needless to say, both varieties are v good! not tempted?
The placement of the rear pup is more towards the neck than you'd find on even a 60's Jazz, so the rear Jazz pup soloed is a nice full but tight tone, one of the few bridge pups that I feel has any use on its own... IMHO!
I agree, you get great great definition & it kind of burps away without getting to "plinky".
Just out of interest, how well does this reproduce the sound of a Jazz bass when playing with just the bridge pickupup on? Reason I ask is that when i had my Jazzes I mostly just used the bridge pickup; I also love the sound of Precision basses, so this combination (with the Jazz-width neck too) seems ideal. Free bump for a beautiful instrument.
hi there, It's really good! the natural sound isn't quite as bright as as jazz but is v close & the eq on this think is so powerful it only takes a slight treble boost & your there! I've found an Ed Friedland "Bass Whisperer" review that has some sounds on it, hope this helps: http://www.bassemporium.com/newsletters/0208newsletter.html Cheers.
Wow! Thats stunning! If i had room for another sadowsky i'd love this!!
It is beautiful, I bought it for doing a Motown tribute band but am finding I'm doing more & more finger funk stuff, it nails that stuff well too but I prefer my Alembic for it.
