I've done BV's for a couple of bands now, what I found was that if I pushed to hard my voice would break and sound shocking, so I learnt to hold back a bit but sing with confidence. Not sure if this is relevant at all but might help you out! As for singing lead and playing bass, man I find that tough particularly over syncopated bass parts ( I find it near impossible ) ! Much respect to the likes of Sting and Yolanda charles (at bassday a couple of years back she did some crazy funk- slap whilst sing lead S#it, awesome!). Yolanda said she used to practice by playing the syncopated (or just pain funky!) parts and singing an eighth note/quarter note rhythm on a single note to build up the independence.

For sale is my punchy versitile friend the Hartke HA2000 and Transporter 4X10. Both have served me well over the last 2 years and provided great tone and flexibility. Iam selling to fund purchase of a Mark Bass amp or something slightly lighter! The HA2000 head has some wear, one of the Eq slider covers is missing, the handle strap attachment broke away recently which is an annoyance more than anything but could be fixed fairly cheaply and there are a few cosmetic scratches on the unit case. I've never managed to get the effects loop to work properly, I've been told all it needs is a clean but as I havn't used a lot of effects I havn't followed this up. The Cab has almost no signs of wear cosmetically and still sounds as good as the day I bought it !

Hey peeps, just throwing out some questions about pedal order etc.. I'm having trouble making my signal the same volume throughout my chain of pedals, the last pedal in the chain seems to steal all the volume (when i switch it on the volume is at a normal level, off and the signal is below normal volume). iam currently running, Tuner- compressor-autowah-synth-pre-amp. Ive tried switching the synth and pre-amp pedals over, again last pedal in the chain when on boosts signal to a normal level. Any ideas?

Hello I have a Yamaha Attitude 5 Standard bass. It's a beast of a bass but is very playable and I have found I can get a wide range of sounds from it. The best thing about this bass is the playability of the neck ( as already mentioned), the neck is not to thick so easy to move around on. In terms of slap style playing it is not the best, however i do use ADG Strings for slap style in some songs with my band and the sound is great. B and E strings give a slightly thick "duff" sound when slapped and lack clarity. I've included some photos of my bass here, I'm reluctant to sell this bass but need the cash to fund further bass purchases. The bass does need a service, new jack socket and Volume knobs required (pots work fine). There are 4/5 chips to the paint work, one is quite large. Contact me; [email protected] for more info and offers Sweeneythebass [attachment=26461:Bass_1.jpg] [attachment=26462:Bass2.jpg] [attachment=26463:Untitled_Image.jpeg]
