1. For sale is my 1978 Fender Precision fretless with Maple Neck. Everything on the Bass is original, including Pickguard with matching Serial(Serial removed on pictures), Pots, Pickup etc. only 1 Pickup Screw has been replaced. The first owner used some Rounds on the bass, so there is a minor wear on the fingerboard. The last 17 Years the bass was only played with flatwound strings. The bass is strung with Fender flats. As you cans see on the pictures below, the bass is in a really good condition and sounds really fantastic. If you are interested, but not familiar with a fretless P bass, just listen to some early Brand X songs. The chrome Covers will not be included, they belong to another bass of mine. I am located in germany, shipping in Europe will be no problem. Of course the bass will be shipped more than safe, so there is no possible concern about getting harmed. If you like to collect the bass, you are more than welcome to do this and while you are playing her, i will serve you the best coffee you ever had. You have further questions?please do not hesitate to contact me, i will answer them immediately. I have 365 feedbacks on ebay with 100%, see also my feedback thread here on basschat Price is xxxx GBP including shipping in Europe
2.
How many have you got of these? Did you manage to sell the other one? Cheers, Nigel
There is only one. I did remove the old thread, due to some members broke basschat rules Of course it is an actual Fender American Vintage 57 Reissue
3. Dear Basschatters, i would like to offer you a really amazing and rare bass, in a condition, that is remarkable. This original 1968 Fender Telecaster bass was stored from 1987 and not been played anymore. You will see this in the remarkable condition she is in, even the ashtreys are shiny. The thing to cry about is,this bass was one of those really rare pink paisley tele basses, but after his hippie years..my father let a luthier strip of the finish and did some kind of clear finish on it. Pink Paisleys are more than rare. You will still see the pink finish under the control plate cavity in a picture i will attach. I am looking now for 2100 GBP . I would also trade the bass for another vintage P or J. Money adjustment in both directions possible. What is not original: - All pickguard screws are not original. My dad used other ones with same size and i replaced them by original Fender screws. The only thing, which is not original!!! (You see Schaller Security Locks on the pictures, but i will put on the original ones from 1968, before she leaves my home) What should be said: - The Pickguard is not black, Pink Paisley Telecaster basses used Plexi Pickguards, so this is of course the original Plexi Pickguard! with black paper under it. Can be removed easily. - The luthier did a little contour on the body on request, which makes it more comfortable to play. It is just as slightly you wouldn`t recognize it, if you do not know it.(see picture) - The control plate is a little bit chipped of at the front knob(see picture) That`s all!!! The bass: If you never played an original Telecaster bass from these days, you will hardly understand, what tone this instruments have. Please do not compare it to a Sting Signature bass for example, that would be ridiculous. This is not a muddy vintage plok plok sound! These basses sound amazingly modern. They have a really low end and fantastic "piano" strings. The sound will fit perfect into any mix of any kind of music. the sound is like a couch where your bandmates can sit down and chill. (Please listen to some professional files on youtube or music from Sting/ZZ Top for example, you see: Sting/ZZ Top this basses are versatile!) The Telecaster bass was Fender`s first Reissue of the early 50`s Single Coil Precisions. But you wouldn`t believe how beautiful this bass sounds with slap techniques. The Neck is straight as an arrow, the pickups have a lot of output and is delivering tons of tone. It plays like heaven. You will not often see original Fender Telecaster basses these days, in this condition, i think never anymore. Are crazy, or why are you offering this bass!?: Honestly, i love the splitcoil precision sound more. I play rock music and i love the aggressive tone of an splitcoil precision, i want the bass right in your face. The Fender Telecaster is not that kind of bass, the Telecaster is more a gentleman but also present in the mix. maybe if i am getting older i will bite my arm off for this. What are you looking for? I would like to trade the bass with a Fender Splitcoil Precision or maybe Fender Jazzbass from the 60`s. If there is a difference in value to your bass, adding money to make the deal fair in both directions is possible. You fell in love with the bass, but you do not have a bass i am looking for?just contact me, maybe i am willing to sell the bass. I am located in germany, shipping in Europe will be no problem. Of course the bass will be shipped more than safe, so there is no possible concern about getting harmed. 4. At 7th of May, 2010 The Legend himself, Lemmy played at a Grammy Charity Gig in Los Angeles. After his Gig he signed this Fender Bass and now it is here as an offer to you. It is your chance to get an awesome instrument, with an awesome history signed by a living legend. Of course there is an certificate of authenticity, which is included in this package. All specs of an American Vintage 57 Precision should be known, so i don`t list them here again. As you may take a close look, you will see how fantasic this bass is in the choice of wood. Fender took their best instrument to present it to Lemmy, thats for sure. They Bass has no dings, no dongs is perfect adjusted and plays like a dream and sounds outstanding. Price including shipping in Europe will be 2400 GBP ONO. (Pls note, the serial is not seen completely on the last picture. The original picture shows the complete serial which of course matches the serial on neckplate.) I will consider trades for vintage Fender P or J basses. My feedback on ebay is 100% positive with over 360 transactions, there is also a feedback thread here on basschat

6. Yes Andy, i only talk about things i tried for my own^^ I had them on a Fender RB 5. I send you a pm.
7. If you are going for that oldschool sound, i would recommend the fender tbp 1 preamp combined with a digital poweramp. I used that a long time and had a very natural, warm, tube sound..it sounds immense especially in that kind of tone . I also used an Ampeg Preamp with my Powersoft digital 1500W, when i want to rock. Both preamps are really great. All together i was at roundabout 10kg. You cannot get more tone for that weight.
8.
A budget option would be Picato nickels - very nice strings for the cash. They are not quite as bouncy as Sunbeams, but sound warm and balanced.
+1 And you may check Galli Rockstar out
9. Thats right
...he withdraws it.
..as rules are not ruling 5. If you believe the price of the item is too cheap/expensive, then please PM the seller as to why. Do not ridicule or undermine the seller by posting how much you think it's worth or how much it can be gotten for elsewhere, the laws of supply and demand will determine if the item sells at that price. But as said before..never mind..i will find a place to dance;)
10. It was my fault, recognizing too late, that i am at the wrong place, but instead of these 2 guys..i didn`t start to dance with you. I am glad for this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdbt-sx5MDc
11. You should consider Ernie Ball Flats 5. They have a really good tension and sound very "soundful" in comparison for example to Chromes, which have a little gap in the mids. For me, the EB flats are as good as my beloved Labella flats. The DR flats are high quality strings, but for me they have no real charakter and sound a little bit "boring".
12. nevermind, i did a mistake
13. Yes, as i posted a for trade thread for this bass, but it is now for sale
14. my newest Pornbass A bassplayer signed this bass after his gig for grammy charity..it was legendary Lemmy of Motorhead (Fender American Vintage 57,including certification of authenticity)
15. If you have any questions or you would like to see some specific detail, do not hesitate to contact me, you are more than welcome.

17. If this seems too high for you, please feel free to contact me and make an offer with a fair price in your eyes. thanks in advance.
18.
...In which case you'll need to post a price. Good luck with the sale!
Thank you very much. Price in my mind is 3000,- GBP or 3500,- Euro including shipping in Europe
19.
Please add a cash value to give people an idea of the value of this bass .
Hi Machines thank you for requesting a selling price. But i am looking for a trade with a P or J from the 60`s.If there is a bass offered to me, the basschatter and me will find money adjustment, if necessary. As i stated above:" maybe i am willing to sell the bass" If so, i will think about a price, when i know i want so sell it. Hope that is okay for you and your rules. If there is a basschatter really interested in this bass, he is aware of the value in my oppinion. I am looking for a fair deal. I am not looking for 20.000gbp and i am not selling it for 500 bucks. It is important for me, to find a person who will love the bass. If there is one, we will find a solution to make the best for both sides. kind regards
