  1. Hohner Jack's are steadily increasing, worth a look perhaps. Pretty good basses as well.
  2. Cheers bud. However we are a two Welly family 😁
  3. Thanks Dunc. These are yer actual rare model in the UK as they weren't for sale here. As ever, none come up for a long time, then there's 3 in a few months. The last 2 sold at £750 (reduced from £850) & £925 respectively according to the adverts.
  4. Cheers Dunc. Yeah, I don't get it really. I always put stuff out at a bit less than anything similar that sold recently. Seems that's not any use now as folk still want a load off. Like my 70's RI Precision, last 2 have sold for £925 & £750 so I put mine out at £700. Two offers of £600 so far.
  5. It's one of them Kev, it's Daphne Blue but it's sat next to me now, the colour looks darker than the photos & is just touching on the blue green thing. I have one of those Roasted LE's from last year & that's the same.
  6. Reluctant but the other two don't seem to be going anywhere & this just sits in the cupboard (I don't like the colour) CASE in pictures isn't included. Chip on bass side of neck otherwise very good condition. 2004, alder body, maple neck, rosewood board. Nut 40mm (same as a Nate). 9lb 3oz, nice low to medium action. TRADES. Prefer to sell trade value is higher but could be tempted with straight swap for; Mex Road Worn Precision Sunburst only. American Special Precision. COURIER. Please organise & pay for your own. It will be sent in a basic gigbag & a Squier bass box. Keep safe & thanks for looking, Karl.
  7. All the above have been considered, it's pretty much always the case when joining up with folk that you play what the guitarist has learnt. I'm already thinking he's a bit high maintenance for what is effectively a musical kick about in the park. Thanks for all the thoughts folks, appreciated.
  8. Apologies for ads @Beedster I picked that cos I knew what he was using.
  9. Yessongs, the triple album, is still my favourite musical performance after all these years. The epitome of what 5 different musicians can bring together. This is not an opinion, this is fact 😁
  10. Oh dear. Oh dear dear dear.
  11. Apparently they break over the pickup. I don't really know this guy but I've had the nut and bridge saddle conversation. I know if it was me I'd be sorting rather than deflecting but he's a guitarist.
  12. Thanks guys. Yup, had that conversation with him initially. He maintains nothing wrong with his guitar. I maintain there is. He complains about the cost of strings 😂 I must admit it's a bloody nightmare playing along with a number that's in the right key, but I'm having to learn it a semi tone lower. It hurts my ears ☹️
  13. Not sure where to put this question, Mods feel free to move it obviously. Some local musos have asked me to come to studio jams, just to keep your hand in really. The band I'm in, like most, aren't doing anything so why not every 2 or 3 weeks. Anyway, guitar fella has a Ltd Ed Epi Explorer, everything has to be de-tuned cos he keeps breaking B strings apparently. I've never de-tuned. MY CV 50's Precision has flats on it & my naive thinking is if I detune to D# G# C# F#, the flats will just have a bit less tension (obviously I'll do a set up to this tuning). Am I being dumber than a rock? Cheers.
  14. This was a limited edition of the passive, the last ones before they turned to fully active in 2002. They were only available late 2001/2002. The later history of this model was California Series then Precision Bass Special Deluxe Series (passive) then since 2002 Precision Bass Special Deluxe Series Active (although there have been the occasional FSR Passives since then, mainly for Guitar Centre in the States). This should have had an anodised plate in a sort of smoky silver colour. The limited edition bit was the matte black paint & scratchplate. There was one up in Brum on Bumtree a few weeks back & he wanted £599 collected. Price was £100 too much for me especially with a 350 mile round trip.
  15. Plenty of offers, sadly none from anybody who can read. 🤣
  16. PM's replied. Sorry, if you want it sending to Europe, I will only accept GBP & you will need to organise & pay for courier. It's not difficult.
  17. You do like that dontcha 😁 Really kind Prof, many thanks 😁
  18. No Dunc. One of the beauties of this over the Japanese version is these are a modern C profile same as the American Standard and Mex Player/Standard. 41.3mm nut so not as wide either. Oh and it's obviously a few hundred quid cheaper than the Japanese ones are going for 😁
  19. ❤️
